A pair of A990 Plymouth SS Door slammers

Finally done and in the case

The Butch Leal SS kit was used for both builds 

Kit decals for the Butch Leal car. SLIXX for the Doc Burgess Jenkins driven car

The Burgess car  was converted to an auto. .Otherwise both cars are box stock 

Tamiya orange for the Leal car

Tamiya pure white for the Burgess car.

 

Im REALLLLLY liking these Mobieus kits overall. Absolutely no issues during the build.

Only exception was I had to chamfer the edge of the rear glass to get it to sit flush

 

Update/Edit

 Since my post.  I was reviewing my reference photos and realized the Leal car had hood pins, The Burgess car did not

The Burgess car had the fancy trim panel on the rear between the taillights whereas the Leal can did not.

 

So they are not done I guess 

And yes, I used the wrong ft wheels on the Burgess car. I'm afraid that can't be changed without causing damage. So I'll have to live with that mistake

Most excellent builds. You did both cars justice. From some pics I’ve seen, the Black Arrow also had two rear bumper guards as well. I wouldn’t worry about the front wheels, as many racers were constantly changing wheels, tires, etc. But I understand that you are going for the look the car had in its day. Very nice job on your builds,
