afxawb2 Posted Wednesday at 06:39 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:39 PM I know a lot of you use Future for clear coating-I also use it. I brush mine on but sometimes get streaks in finish. What type of brush do yor recommend? Thanks
rattle can man Posted yesterday at 02:20 AM Posted yesterday at 02:20 AM I apply it just like brush paint: never go back over what you just brushed on a second time. wait until it dries before applying another coat. Since Future is no longer available and mine yellowed in the bottle, I've switched to Bona acrylic floor treatment. It works as good as Future, and comes in gloss and a semi-gloss. And I can use it on my floors as well.
Bugatti Fan Posted yesterday at 08:15 AM Posted yesterday at 08:15 AM Holloway House does something similar in their green carton. I think someone has put a YouTube video up in another thread demonstrating it on a model.
espo Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I'll use Future on the kit's windows and bumpers and grill sometimes. I'll attach them to an alligator clip on the end of a stick and then dip them into a small container of Future. Allow the excess to drain back into the container, then touch the lowest point of the object to a paper towel that will draw off any Future that would form a drip or puddle along the bottom edge. Then mount the stick to a holder until the part has dried enough to handle. Not had very good luck using Future as a clear coat on the painted surface as a clear coat.
