Dave Van Posted Saturday at 06:18 PM Posted Saturday at 06:18 PM Cool project!! The wheels and tires needed are in the Revell Mustang Trans Am and IMSA kits. The kits are 1/24 but labelled 1/25 when Revell and Monogram merged. Here is my build.....May's Jimmy Z 88 TB

Never knew the Tbirds were used for this type of racing. Who drove the 77 car?

Honestly, I have found little info on it, and only in the past like, couple months, did I even learn that they made IMSA GTO T-Birds myself! I knew as soon as I seen it that my Wrangler T-Bird was getting built like this though..
Duane Garner Posted Sunday at 07:36 PM Posted Sunday at 07:36 PM I have a set. PM me your address and they're yours

Spooker Posted Sunday at 10:04 PM Posted Sunday at 10:04 PM Whatever happened to Bruce....oh, wait, never mind. 1
chryslerjunkandstuff Posted yesterday at 01:35 AM Author Posted yesterday at 01:35 AM It's a really rad car.. Can anybody I.D. the door and quarter panel decals?? Also, dangit, while doing a bit of research on this car, I found ANOTHER Motorcraft IMSA GTO Thunderbird, which may be even cooler than the #77 car -> All there is to it, is that I'm gonna find me another NASCAR T-Bird, and do this #47 car too.. That's the only picture I've seen of it so far though..

ybsluos Posted yesterday at 09:47 AM Posted yesterday at 09:47 AM (edited) Earl zoom in on this. When I do I see Tilton Starter, Good Year, and black Koni stickers by the frint wheel arches. On the door I make out Camel and BBS stickers. Just in front of rear wheel of arch I see another Koni decal featuring a shock absorber. Also Snap On. About one of the aftermarket decal companies has a sheet with most of these on there. Otherwise you can probably find the.Tilton in ARevell pro stock kit i’m drawing a blank on which one. I believe it to be the Larry Morgan purple car. Koni with the shock absorber used to be prevalent in old kits. I believe many AMT kits came with that decal on the sheet particularly in the 3in1 kits featuring a drag race version. If you’re interested, I can check my little decal stash. I think I have a few of the sponsors you would need for this car. I would send them your way ibut I must warn you some of the decals are old. I’m not sure how well they will work. After seeing the above shots showing the engine bay and interior, I'd say that apart from the body, a Revell/Monogram IMSA Mustang would be the best starting point for building a replica of one of these cars. 1
