Bullybeef Posted Tuesday at 11:04 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:04 AM I think the dash would be a sweet update for the deuce!

When was the last time your eyes were checked? As we get older...... Hopefully that new chrome stuff will help. I'm not totally happy with it. I may try again today.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Bil ! I'm not leaving it yellow, though. 🥴 Now I need to go through the small chrome junk for the gauge insert. Pretty sure I have it. I hope. 1
FoMoCo66 Posted Tuesday at 02:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:13 PM I agree with everyone, that headlight bar looks way cleaner. This may sound funny but sence the headlights are lower it makes the whole car seam lower.

I'll have pix up in a while. 1
customline Posted yesterday at 04:06 AM Author Posted yesterday at 04:06 AM (edited) Got some chores done I polished the fenders.... I accomplished this with a 30w pencil and rosin core stuff. I don't recommend it. I know what I gotta do next time. Anything else. I faced the rain this afternoon to get a bit of s/g black done. Gonna be a tiny bit dramatic. With this in mind, I'm wondering about color again. I drive myself crazy. Always liked this look. I sprayed it and swabbed the perimeter trim with IPA. I missed a spot 🤓. I'm giving this a shot. I found the "instruments " and they'll do to plug the holes, I guess. I welded some .020 sheet to the back of the '36 dash. Later I will reinforce with CA and then shape it to play well with the underside of the cowl. Then I deal with the tub. It'll work. 🥴 thanks for understanding. TopherMcGinnis Posted yesterday at 09:41 AM Posted yesterday at 09:41 AM You really shouldn't drink and paint. No one should have to suffer an IPA to begin with 😵💫
Bullybeef Posted yesterday at 11:09 AM Posted yesterday at 11:09 AM I wasn’t gonna comment on the booger weld on the first attempt of the dropped light bar as I had a feeling you would correct it😜. New one looks way more betterer.
NOBLNG Posted yesterday at 11:29 AM Posted yesterday at 11:29 AM Nice work on the headlight bar Jim. I think a nice turquoise blue or olive-ish green would look nice with the black fenders.

The poor and vague attachment points, especially the tailpipes in the gas tank, certainly didn’t do anything to teach a young modeler how a real car was put together. It’s no wonder a kit like this ended up as a glue bomb as the builder put on a blob of glue and hoped the part would stick to something🤞 I didn't have any issue with assembly. It was a dream for most builders when the kit was new, just like all the other Monogram hot rod kits from the early 60's. They practically fall together. (questionable real world location of the exhaust hanger aside) 2
