Quite far!
Blue looks good from here out in the middle of the Atlantic btw. The Tamiya panel line worked a treat, test it on some old build you care nothing about, or a spare 32 style grille, to capillary action is almost mesmerizing haha.

Yeah...it's an oil base tint and I fear wrecking an otherwise decent paint job. The first and only time I used it was not pretty.  I'm gonna go with water base thinned out.

We need to get Ollie to build a store out there on Oak Island for you, Bil. 🥴

I’m a bit further east than oak island Jim

The Blue body color looks great with the Black fenders.

Thank you David!  I'm happy that, so far, everyone says they like it.  If I can't find somebody to agree with me, I guess it was a good choice. 🤓 heh heh heh....it's probably "buyers remorce". I just didn't have the colors on the shelf that I needed unless coral blue counts. I wanted a medium-dark non metallic blue or green. I wanted the arctic shade of blue but in a solid. That's about what I've got here but in what they said was "pearl"....is it me? Have I finally crossed into....

I have used that shade of "Pearl Blue" from Tamiya on a Chevelle build in the past. To my eyes it looks more like a nice metallic Blue. A thought on your idea of a medium-dark nonmetallic Blue, maybe a light coat of a Tamiya Clear Blue would darken the color slightly and also lessen the metallic look.

In scale, it's more a flake...It's a dynamite color. But it's not quite right in my mind (which, as you suspect, is not one they'll be preserving in a big jar.)  I love it, though, Dave. On a 69 Nova. Anyway, I'll clear it and rub it out and be thankful I didn't screw it up.

I agree that a solid color would look better. Is is a nice blue though and not worth stripping…I’d just start another one.🤓

do have another one 🤔.   Nah.....time to do something completely different 🥴. The paint stays. I've scratched my deuce itch for now, Greg.

I like the color and the finish myself.

Thank you, David. Got more to do on the blue yet. I spotted some gafs on the black, too.

Jim, it looks good from NY.

BTW the Ollie’s here don’t have ‘nuttin these days so maybe I need to move to Oak Island.

Oh, good luck with that 😂. Leaving New York, however, might be prudent. 🥴

I kinda dig the blue that you have chosen! I’m about to embark on a colour selection for the “48 and it’s gonna be a tough choice.

Don't look at me.🤐

Well I will have to go with what I have, it’s a mail order only world for me atm. Local hobby shop is a farce.

Thats what I did. I have a dozen cans I bought to take advantage of a Hobby Town coupon that saved me $30. I chose some colors randomly. I'm just not happy with that decision 🙁.  All I can say is it's okay. Nobody will say they don't like it. Even if you dont. 🥴.

Mama always said if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all.
