Badge73 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Getting her rust undercoat and initial base coat using color modulation. Looks likes she's gotten into some minor damage. More to come... 14
Glassparman Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I like where you are going with this. I recently picked up and old electric pencil. I thought I would try it gently on some plastic to see how it would work to make it look like rust cancer. 1
Badge73 Posted Tuesday at 03:55 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 03:55 PM WIP: Update...Layers of brushed on chipping in the works as well as the scratch built roof rack. 2
BK9300 Posted Tuesday at 05:08 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:08 PM Your detail painting of the roll and roof rack is very realistic - excellent work! Really like all the wear and tear you're adding to the body as well. 2

OldNYJim Posted Thursday at 03:09 AM Posted Thursday at 03:09 AM Your painting skills are awesome - the roll especially caught my eye. Have you painted a lot of armor?
BERT100 Posted Thursday at 03:13 AM Posted Thursday at 03:13 AM Great job, enjoying how you are puting the project together.

Evan_N Posted Thursday at 02:12 PM Posted Thursday at 02:12 PM Looking very good. I really like your weathering.
Badge73 Posted Thursday at 02:14 PM Author Posted Thursday at 02:14 PM UPDATE: - Folded up the rear passenger seat and added its metal leg. - Added three milk crates, one filled with a spare battery and tool bag while the other two crates have books/magazines. - Snuck in the ol' Grays Sports Almanac (if you know, you know). - Lastly, topped off the rear seat with a folded and strapped old military sleeping bag. 2

I am still playing around with it, I am not sure if someone will question why the tire is not being held down, especially with the hub cap on it. Maybe I should remove the hub cap and fabricate the tire lock down rod that comes up through the center of the rim and holds the tire in place? Thoughts?
