gary jackson Posted October 9 Posted October 9 i would like to tint my glass in my 55 chevy gasser would createx candy work
Leica007 Posted October 9 Posted October 9 I believe it should, transparent/candy is what I have used. Couple of hints: use masking tape on the outside, make sure the inside is cleaned w/o dust, and if possible lay the window flat (reduces runs).
Chris V Posted October 9 Posted October 9 If you want to keep it authentic, remember that the windshields weren't allowed to be tinted per NHRA rules. Usually the side windows were just replaced with colored plexiglass. 3

StevenGuthmiller Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Make it easy on yourself and buy some of this. Steve 2
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 10 Posted October 10 (edited) I think you'd be happier with the results if you just used colored clear plastic sheet from notebook covers, readily available in office-supply stores. EDIT: Guthmiller beat me to it. Edited October 10 by Ace-Garageguy 3

Radretireddad Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Any of Tamiya’s colored transparent acrylics will work as well.
