I still don’t know what transmission to use yet, that’s next. I have purchased a few things from A&N, super quality stuff, but never gave them a thought. I just remember it took five weeks to get my order. I will give them a look again.

Thanks Bren, I am hoping to use the wipers you printed for me on this build if we can ever ship anything from Canada to US again. Many of the parts I ordered are coming from Canada, and we will see what happens.

Yeah, that’s the downside. Not sure how long it’ll take to ship. In August, A&N posted that they temporarily couldn’t ship to the US. Not sure what the status is on that now, but I’m also thinking about placing an order with them.

A&N creates each order separately, so it can take months regardless of the tariff situation. Their quality is first rate, though.

Thanks Ron, I break rules all the time but this build has really intrigued me, I generally don’t try to replicate a truck, I am more free form custom.

They are still sitting in a box in my office ready to go - if I can get them across the border without donating a kidney - they are yours! Now our post office is on rotating strikes, so that is another thing.😡

I have heard about the variable post strike, and it’s no issue, we can send em some day.

I really want to duplicate the inspiration truck, so today I purchased the C500 from Global with the small sleeper, I’ll save the other cabs for a rainy day or a replacement for an oops. I did notice some updated changes to the one I purchased, a plus. 

 

also going with the Eaton Fuller 18 speed transmission.

Not a fan of globals stuff. To thick, don't like the way they print the interiors in one peice. 🫤

Share the same thought Ron,  but I have been thinking about this. The hood, I am gonna try to cut the grill out ( where the screen is) add back the five bars and put a real grill screen in , remove the headlights, use a set of T600 headlights, but yes too thick. Cab, I am going to see what it takes to put an interior tub inside the cab. The sleeper is hollow, no floor, again steal some stuff from the T600 kit for sleep interior. We will see where this goes.

Cults sell's a C500 file you can print yourself. it says its 14 scale but can be scalable at 1/24..The model has 3 cabins: Day CAB (Extended Version) with 1 only back glass, Day CAB (Extended Version) with 3 back glass and the cabin for the Sleepper (without rear part). has a great detailed dash. i had bough one a few years back (twin steer) from another printer but did not like the cab. i wish it had the option with a flat roof. also Gary if you ever looking for nice grip tires look up the Mack i just posted in WIP ....  https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/kenworth-c-500-scale-cab
