espo Posted Sunday at 04:54 PM Posted Sunday at 04:54 PM This is a redo of a kit I built when this was first issued. Never particularly proud of how it turned out so a couple of years ago I striped it and premiered the body then put it back in the box. I came across the kit again putting some kits together for a show and swap meet. A lot of lookers but no takers even for $10. This time I was either going to finish it or just use the parts. The paint is Tamiya TS-18 Mt. Red and TS-13 Clear. The removable top is AS-15 Tan, and the interior is Rust-Oleum Warm Carmel with Lt. Brown flocking for carpet. The chrome trim on the top and the grill surround along with the chrome rims was done with Fusion Firm liquid chrome. Slight lowering of the kit's suspension altering the frame slightly and used a lowered front I-Beam from the spare parts box. Tucked the bumpers a little front and rear and added a license plate encloser from an old tube bar bumper. Removed the molded in exhaust and part of the floorboards from the chassis so that I could run a homemade exhaust system that is routed thru holes drilled in the frame as exit out of the rear fenders. The engine is the "Pontiac" engine from the kit and already had an after-market distributer and wires. I did repaint it in a more correct shade of blue and detailed the kits tri-power set up along with some fuel lines and linkage. The '40 Ford taillights are again a parts box find. 13

DJMar Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM One of my favorite fat fenders! I dig it, and I love the interior color. Nice work bringing this one out of the box and onto the shelf. 1
XYHARRY Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago That looks great, the candy apple look works really well with those wheels. Well done David.
