Roll bar padding

Can anyone give some ideas or tips as to what to use for roll bar padding?

Does this still work if you have to slit it to get around the bars?

you can shrink the straight sections & go over the junctions with another piece scribed & unheated to suit. since heat shrink will get as small as half of its size, you may need a second size to do the overlaps.

whatever you choose, be aware the heat shrink will also shrink in length when heated. the overlapped piece should be adhered with a vinyl safe adhesive.

If you have to slit it, try shrinking it on a scrap piece of whatever the rollbar is made of, or wire the same size. Then slit it and install it on your rollbar. It might work?

When I've had to slit it, I make zip-ties, to hold it in place. Here's a link to a how-to.
