This is really cool. You’re nailing the look and the box look right at home on this truck. Another great idea and vision. ….

Beautiful precision in your work. This is something that FDM is probably better at than SLA- the SLA would warp, at least if I tried doing it. Great work and engineering!

Thanks Gary!

There might be things that are Not quite authentic but I like doing things according to my imagination.

Had to buy some paint for the container but now I can prepare painting.

First primer, then a coat of silver and then top coat.

The top coat will then be sanded through on several spots to create the impression of damage. A bit of rust color and it should look good!

First I'll do some mechanical damage to make it look like dented to the outside by falling in parts!

Great job on the box. The back doors are very accurate and you've got them functional too! Well done. They're never pristine these things, right from their first load, they get battered. I won't stay behind one because little shards of metal fall out sometimes, they can shred your tyres.

Brilliant work Jürgen.

Really nice detail work. That’s the stuff I enjoy seeing the most on any build and you’re obviously a master at it with your 3D printing ability.

Cheers,

This is really good... looks every bit the yard dog, hard worker....... one thing I meant to comment on was the hydraulic controls for the dump ram, VERY good and convincing, I really like the way you put the controls behind the  cab, that is really cool,,,

It's going towards the finish line.

Then I have to make the scrap.

The first piece of scrap for the truck load!

IMG_20251121_151727_7652.jpg.8fda051dedf1cf5e6b28c1cfb7bf76ec.jpg

I used one of the IH Transtar cabs Bren had printed for me.

I also had a bundle of Coca Cola decals from three different Coke trucks (GMC General, White Western Star and Pete 352) I never built as Coke trucks.

I painted the cab in flat red and white and then painted a few areas in gloss red to make it look like the cab had been bleached by the sun. A bit of rust and dirt and the scrap cab was finished.

Still have a few printed hoods and doors and I'm making a few car doors in the same scale.

Looks like a hard working Louisville to me great job on this one. I like that Tag axle reminds me of my dad’s 1973 Chevy C65 dump truck he bought new he added the Tag just like yours thanks for the memories. I have to say it but I guess old corn binders do get scraped 😂

Scrap is finished. I think that should do it

I added two car doors, an FLC hood, a Diamond Reo hood (self made) and an MAN engine with gearbox.

You can find it shortly under glass!
