Edmond Fitzgerald tragedy 50 year anniversary 11/10/25

I was watching this amazing documentary a couple weeks ago. It goes into about the tragedy of the edmund fitzgerald. It is very well made with amazing CJI and a lot of great in person interviews. Definitely sit down to watch this one in full, highly recommend.

i would sugest if you want to watch videos on the fitz watch history mystery mans channel he sits down with two former crew members who served aboard the ship earlier seasons and has been doing sit down multi part episodes over coarse of several years with the nephew of one the 29 men who went down with  the fitz and what they discuss goes very very deep with the depth of information both into everything from launch to to the sinking and everything in between from the sinking of the carl d bradly in nov of 58 to the ss danial j morrell when sank in nov 1966 and the similarities with how the fitz went down and discuss the shady business of the company's that operated the boats and the years of deffered maintainance  on the ships and bribing inspectors to pass the as seaworthy  cause it cut into the companies profits as they had the saying every day a ship is in port is more money lost and how they did not care about the safety of the boats crew and would give bonuses to capts who would not sit out storms and penalize capts who put the safety of their ships and crews and wait out the storms in a safe harbour  and the stiffest penalty givin was the revoking of the the capts masters license and how when the inquiries on a boats loss the companies would either try to blame the loss on the ships crew or as a act of god just to get the full insurance money  the historymysteryman is one great channel for this subject also he does videos on the history certain kinds of auto racing but the bigest drw to his channel is the videos on the fitz with capt darrel walton
