R. Thorne Posted November 12 Posted November 12 (edited) Another one of my âinterimâ builds that always take longer than I planned. Â Used the Revell kit. Â Headers, quadrajet carb, Caltrac bars, electric water pump, dual snorkel hood, wheels, brake calipers, and tach are aftermarket items. Â Scratch built subframe connectors. Â Rear slicks are rubber black painted Goodyears. Â Back glass and side windows are .005â clear styrene. Â Rattle can Tamiya gold base (no primer) and clear red for a candy apple red look. Â Forgot the headlight lenses. Â Further info in the WIP thread. Â Questions, critiques, good and bad comments always welcomed. Edited November 12 by R. Thorne Added connectors 6
ColonelKrypton Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Very cool. My favourite Firebird year and body style, colour too. Â cheers, GrahamÂ
Hemifever Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Really looks great. That color is awesome. I'm so envious of your Cal Tracs, they always look so good.Â
R. Thorne Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 Thanks, guys. Â Not my most detailed build, but I learned a little and enjoyed myself. Â Couldnât resist 2 more 1:1 pics of, possibly, the most brutal looking front ends of any car made.
