dphipps Posted Monday at 11:47 PM Posted Monday at 11:47 PM Recently finished the current AMT 68 roadrunner. It went together pretty good with no real issues other than it came with the wrong tail lights. The sprue looks like the back of the box but the "lights" are a bezel for a different mopar maybe? Not too sure. Built it out of the box other than the face of the wheels. I tried to paint the underside how I figured they'd roll off the line. It's intended to be a gift to a family member this christmas. The last pics are the inspiration, and his old car. Ouch! 7 1
Shark Posted Tuesday at 12:54 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:54 AM Harts parts resin may have the tail lights you need. Really good people to work with, lots of Mopar stuff. 1
Jim B Posted Tuesday at 01:56 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:56 AM Great looking Roadrunner. Well done. Yeah, ouch! 1

espo Posted Tuesday at 08:46 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:46 PM Great looking paint finish and that Yellow is sure bright. Sad to see what became of the original Road Runner, hope they weren't injured. 1

My models usually reflect the 1:1 stuff I'm into, or have going on in the garage but I'm not much of a mopar guy so it was kind of fun for a change of pace. I painted it before the pictures and I wish I had used a bit more... egg yolk? yellow, but I am happy with the way it turned out. It is Folkart "Daffodil yellow" airbrushed with Duplicolor clear If you can believe it he almost lost his big toe. The toe is still around, but it doesn't bend anymore. Limping away from this with only a bent toe had to have made a believer out of him. 1
