phirewtiter Posted yesterday at 05:40 PM Posted yesterday at 05:40 PM Hopefully they'll do the entire series. Have a few but not the '36.
Misha Posted yesterday at 06:00 PM Posted yesterday at 06:00 PM Great illustration fitting into the AMT original car-toon version from a few decades back. Though it most likely is a reboxing of 36 Ford with a smooth bullnose grill piece added (or was that part of the original kit?) Nonetheless the box illustration will be reason enough to add it to the stash! Cheers Misha 1
Trainwreck Posted yesterday at 06:07 PM Posted yesterday at 06:07 PM I hope Round2 retained the chopped top option in this reissue.
blizzy63 Posted yesterday at 06:39 PM Posted yesterday at 06:39 PM (edited) I'm guessing that it will be a re-pop of the AMT/Round2 824 '36 Ford kit from 2013 with a reproduction of the 1968 T243 Gasser 'art box' with appropriate decals. The last re-issue from Round2 (AMT-824) included both 3W coupe roofs, stock and chopped, which was great. I'm pretty sure every other issue of this kit (except the stock only Dick Tracy) had this shell with the slot in the middle opened up for the custom grill. Didn't realize there was a version with that slot molded closed.
espo Posted yesterday at 09:04 PM Posted yesterday at 09:04 PM I would like to do another one starting with some fresh plastic. Resonantly rebuilt a '36 that I had given up on and couldn't sell at a swap meet. 2

The original issue (‘36, 1961) contained only the stock grille and the custom/competition grille shell with the opening for the custom grille bars. The first re-issue (2336, 1965) replaced the custom grille shell with the solid nose piece for the gasser version. (The stock-height 3W coupe roof replaced the chopped top here as well). Thought it incredibly generous for Round2 to include BOTH grilles, roofs and fender skirts in their re-issue of 2013. Edited 13 hours ago by blizzy63 3

bobss396 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I probably have every iteration from the OG 1961 release. None are even close to a true gasser class form. BUT... bash it with the '37 Chevy and you will be 99% there. I've got some resin chopped tops for them and some MCG PE grilles.
