I hope it's okay for me to post this......... I just wanted to give kind of an illustration as to why I'm so grateful to be on the forum! These two builds were both done since I've been a member here. The Monte was built in 2012, the old Ford in 2017. In five short years, my builds improved 1000%!

I've heard enough horror stories about FB that I'm continually glad I'm not on it.  Actually, I'm probably one of the like couple dozen people on Earth that have never joined that cesspool.  This forum has always been great, and full of talented and friendly modelers always willing to help or give knowledgeable advise.

Me too!  Don't want anything to do with FB.

I'm my own worst critic on my builds, I see the flaws in every one. But I always feel encouraged here.  I see articles and other people's builds and it makes me want to try new techniques and add details that I never would have thought of on my own.

I too love this forum. I have visited everyday since I found it (except when on vacation). I enjoy encouraging others and being encouraged. I consider myself slightly above average but only if I put forth the effort. The better builders here show results and details that I really admire so I incorporate them into my builds. I have tackled new skills and succeeded at them. When I have a completed a build, I share it here to get a little boost to carry on to the next build. Thanks to one and all.

I used to talk about how I perceived flaws in my work back around 2000 when I was back in the hobby.

One very experienced builder in the club took me around at a contest. He showed me some builds of highly respected builders and pointed out the flaws in those builds.

FB builders run the gamut from the novice to real artists. I have gotten some ideas that I would have not seen otherwise.
