Dave B Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM This is my take on the Zagato I saw race at Longford in March 1962. Purchased new by Australian Laurie O'Neill in Dec '61 and delivered early in '62 this Zagato had a successful racing career in Australia. Raced in it's delivery colours of an Old English White it came first overall in the South Pacific GT Championships at Longford March '62. The car was later sold overseas, restored in unoriginal colours and went on to compete in many major concours event being extremely successful!!! Once again I have to thank Phil for this resin print. Finished in Auto acrylic Old English White and clear coated. Tks for looking. Dave B 5
Dave B Posted yesterday at 05:35 AM Author Posted yesterday at 05:35 AM (edited) Sorry, more information. Generally driven by Doug Whiteford. He drove it at Longford and was very successful there in earlier years in his Maserati 300S. Dave B Edited yesterday at 05:36 AM by Dave B
Rich Chernosky Posted yesterday at 01:45 PM Posted yesterday at 01:45 PM Dave...another hit off your bench. I really enjoy the fact that you are doing cars that aren't mainstream kits. Its really refreshing seeing seeing some of the unusual subjects you come up with. Thanks for posting. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Saw my first AM Zagato in September 2002. I traveled from the USA to attend the Goodwood Revival. In person one of the most beautiful cars to see. Your model is great. 1
