Not sure I understand how a private person would be different. The process will be the same. A private person will need to get the information from you and the payment, devote some time time (often several hours) designing the artwork, then hopefully provide proofs to show you how the decal will look. Often sizing the decal (to fit the model) can be a challenge and requires some back and forth between the designer and customer. Professional custom-decal maker will follow the same process. I'm speaking from experience since I print my own decals. 1

Personally, I'd rather have them done well then done cheap. , , but that's just me. 😉 1
