Can-Con Posted November 30 Posted November 30 This is a kinda kitbash of the new extended cab dooly, an old stepside box and a junk chassis from an older generation Chevy pickup. I'm using the modified old chassis as it's gonna be a simple curbside and I wanted it lower then I could easily get it with the dooly's chassis. The chassis had to be lengthened about 12 scale inches even though it was already from a long box truck. Had to trim off the mounting tabs from the box and fill some holes on the back of the cab that would otherwise show with the stepside box. Did a rolled pan in place of the back bumper. , , Stripped the grille and front bumper, removed the rub strip from the bumper and it's now all in primer Bonus shot of the wheels I'll be using on this one. Still have to add some dark grey detailing to the spoked yet. 8
Can-Con Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Paint is done. HOK cherry pearl with some candy wild cherry mixed in to darken it some. I also detailed the headlight lenses before installing them. They look a bit rough in the pic but remember this is zoomed in quite a bit, they look OK in person. Plus a coat of Tamiya smoke on the tail light lenses to darken them. Hopefully they'll blend in with the body colour when it's assembled. Edited 11 hours ago by Can-Con
ChrisR Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Very nice. Looks like we shared ideas, only mine is a 4x4 with a Perry's Resin conversion.
