Reworked this grill (cut center out, added the three grill bars) and will add screen in the back, decided to go with aluminum look as well.

Carrying on with the aluminum look, got the battery boxes painted.

Stole an idea from Steve, reworked these mud guards, need some finish work them off to paint aluminum.

Amazing how a small change makes a HUGE difference. Those fenders look AWESOME! I love that look.  Makes them look real. I have to save that one. Thanks to you and Steve. Good stuff.

I totally agree. Changes the build a lot and for the better.  Great ideas.  This is the kind of stuff that makes a good build a GREAT build.  So much talent here.

Wow Gary,

I can’t believe how far along you are with this build already. I really like the extra work you’ve done on the 1/4 fenders. I may have to shamelessly copy that although the Transtar’s 1/4 fenders mounted differently. Inspiring work Sir!

After much time searching for a V12 Detroit with modern turbos that allow for intercooler connections, I have found a picture that gives me an idea of how to plumb them.

Productive day, finished quarter fenders, air canisters are ready for paint, fuel tanks built. Next fuel tank straps, filler necks and caps, then all these pieces off to paint.

Thanks, that is just two base layers, tomorrow will give it a light sand and apply two more coats of color then clear. But first gotta fix other tank, found an oops to fix.

Slinging lots of paint today

Keep searching for information and pictures of twin larger turbo chargers feeding twin blowers with intercooler connections. Found this picture. I now have found two large turbos but need to modify the feed line to the blowers. Spent a lot of time yesterday gathering tubing with tight bends for all the air lines and exhaust pipes. This setup is begging for large diameter straight pipes. Also ordered some pipe fittings from Sourkraut, should be here tomorrow. Also changed the color scheme on the truck to a more hotrod look. 

I gotta do this build again, thinking W900 with long hood, same engine build, longer wheelbase, picked up a completed lowered suspension with dropped axle……oh heck yes….these builds are so fun……..and ridiculous.
