finished this up after long nights of playing 'styrene surgeon'. This one took a few weeks and didn't come out necessarily the best, but its still an improvement from earlier builds. Im learning this hobby as I go and its very satisfying seeing my work improve over time and practice. Painted this in light gloss yellow testors bottle and a chrome pen. The front suspension gave me a bit of trouble and the rear axle rod they gave me was a bit too thick for the wheel to fit on, so I had to do some drilling into that. The rear glass got fogged up by super glue sadly. for whatever reason my kit was missing a dashboard?? stole a dashboard from my 49 mercury gluebomb that I have been trying to save.

Nice build, I just bought a '57 hardtop kit and hope to start on it soon. I second the mod podge, it dries clear and doesn't seem to have a bad reaction with plastic. I was not sure how well it was going to work so I bought a small bottle at the dollar store, and its lasted for years.

Great looking 55 model. I really like that Testors light yellow color, and it is especially handsome in your two-tone. Nicely done!  BTW, next time you come up short a part like that dash, reach out to the forum members via the "Wanted!" section. Chances are good someone will have what you need. I've both helped and been helped with parts; it's a great community of enthusiasts here!

Thank you! :D and yes, I will reach out in the forum next time, I just needed a quick fix when doing the interior and had a good donor kit on the bench too.

Very nice,  this is my favorite two tone combination.

saw it on the box when I was doing a street rod 55 and just had to go back and get another to do this two tone, it just works so well on the 55.
