The body is painted the color it's going to be. The car was restored, and semi actively campaigned up until a few years ago.

Its a little darker than it should be for early max wedge.

I read somewhere that there is some type of tractor paint that is a pretty close match to the max wedge colors.

I normally use a paint from True Value

 

I think it's called safety orange maybe

 

The 1/ 1 color has much more yellow to it than this one.

Tamiya Italion red. w / Tamiya dark red accents. Tamiya satin clear top coat.

Simply taped up the entire seat / door panel . Then cut the areas I wanted darker with a sharp exacto blade.

Sprayed the dark red right over the Italian red.

Floor is done same way

 

Silver accents on door panels is brush painted with flat aluminum and a new fine brush.

 

door handles are fusion chrome 

Its not exactly what I was going for...but I can live with it.

MUCH better. Same exact paint ( Pumpkin orange from True Value ) 

Trans case shows it painted over grey primer

Engine repainted over white primer and is much closer to the original light orange .

Trans will be brush painted flat aluminum
