I built this version when it was first released around 35 years ago yikes. It’s box stock and the Testors enamel has held up well for its age . This kit became one of my all time favorites . . It’s one of those you can never have enough of as it’s also a good parts donor for other Ford and Mercury super stock and F/X builds .

I have i think 6 done and in the case.

Plus I think I have kits and decals to build  another 3 or 4 in the pile.

Another fantastic build of a NHRA Legend. So far, I have built a Gas Ronda A/FX Mustang and a Cobra Jet. I have just gotten last part so that I can build a Gas Ronda 1963 Lightweight.

Where did you get the decals for Gas’s 63 galaxie ?

I bought 2 set Cobra Jet decals from Jim Heller on E-Bay anticipating using one for the 63. They are not period correct. There are a lot of Ford Racing Decals from the Lightweight era. that I can slice and dice if need be

Mike, Thanks for reminding me about Freemont. I bought the Gold set for my A/FX. Looks great against Poppy Red paint

Yea Joe is great I think I’ve brought a set of almost of everything he makes plus resin bodies. I know I’d be good for a set of gas Ronda galaxie decals

I've built this one as well as the Dick Brannan car and agree with other's here that it's one of the best 60's super stock 1/25 kits of all time. Your 35 yr old build here is beautiful and has held up amazingly well. I have one unbuilt Revell Thunderbolt kit in my stash along with a set of Jake King Atwater Ford decals - this latest "B-T-C" posting is inspiring me to get it out!

I was experimenting with Micro Soft Paint. I am going to print this on decal paper.
