xs650shawn Posted Wednesday at 06:04 AM Posted Wednesday at 06:04 AM Building this Revell 1939 Chevy Sedan Delivery for a FB Box Stock Build Challenge.Visor. goes from Dec. 1 to Mar. 1, so i think 3 months is plenty of time. I find i actually enjoy these timed build challenges, as there is a deadline to keep me committed. Build will be box stock, other than glue and paint. I will probably use some sprue remnants to create a jamb/stop for the back door, as my past experience with this model, the door can close in a bit too far. So far just some cleaning up of parts and test fitting. Will also have to figure out a way to positively mount the front visor. 6
Zippi Posted Wednesday at 12:13 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:13 PM Looks like a good start there Shawn. Love these old Chevy Sedans.
TopherMcGinnis Posted Wednesday at 01:05 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:05 PM I'm building one for a friend. I used a piece of flat stock to create a stop for the back door. I also filled in the hole in the firewall. I'm also using Createx Candy 2.0 over the Alclad Silver Candy Base.

Being that the rules of the buildoff require box stock, only kit parts can be used. There are some thin flat parts of the sprue that I will use to make a door jamb.
espo Posted Wednesday at 05:38 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:38 PM I have been promising myself to build one of these kits for a long time, so I'll ride along with you on this one.
