Smart-Resins Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Its always nice to see someone adding more to the realm of resin! Jody
george 53 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Will you be casting only clear parts? Would you do "special orders" if the are sent ready to cast? I'd like to see something like various types of bench seats, to make conversions into everyday types of cars. I wish you luck and prosperity in your venture.
Nick Winter Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 Its always nice to see someone adding more to the realm of resin! Jody Thanks Jody. Will you be casting only clear parts? Would you do "special orders" if the are sent ready to cast? I'd like to see something like various types of bench seats, to make conversions into everyday types of cars. I wish you luck and prosperity in your venture. I will have more parts in regular resin soon, just cleanung the masters up and recasting them. Yeah I probley would George, I'm also working on some conversions like just one of them is a conversion for the AMT 58' plymouth belevdere to a 58' Fury. Thanks George.
Nick Winter Posted June 8, 2009 Author Posted June 8, 2009 Guys feel free to give me suggestions on what to cast, I'll take all suggestions into consideration.
Smart-Resins Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 You could cast a nice 1923 c cab, the fiberglass version!! LOL. I have never seen one, and would love to see someone do it. That is unfortunately beyond my scratch building capabilities at the monet! Jody
B_rad88 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 (edited) it would be sweet to see a complete resin kit of a porsche 550 a spyder! but thats just me wishing! Edited July 8, 2009 by KUZTOMMODELS88
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 (edited) How about a resin 1983 Mustang GL Notch like my 1:1. I know Reliable Resins makes an '88 LX. I like that decal on the back of that roadster. Edited June 9, 2009 by Mustang3.8

Randytheroadrunner Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I'd really like to see a nice re-pop of the old MPC Mopars like the 1965-66 Dodge Monacos.
dwc43 Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Cast one of these. All the truck and movie goers will want one of these. 1955 "Slim Nose" Peterbuilt.
dwc43 Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Also would not mind seeing a Mack from "Convoy" or a '65 Belvedere from the movie "Hot Rod"
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Actually, all he would need is to cast the hood. It should be easy to modify a regular Pete 359 hood by cutting a strip out of the middle.
bjscustommodels Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 How about a newer body Silverado, and even a Colorado for the mini truck fans, A nissan Titan Comes to mind too, Sorry i like trucks a wee bit too much
Nick Winter Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 Guys send me an email at nick_12_cool@hotmail.com with your idea's or parts you wanted casted.
RyanSilva Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Are you using a pressure pot? if not it is a wise decision to do so, to get great quality casts. Save money in the long run also, with less product with air bubbles.
Chuck Most Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I like that decal on the back of that roadster. Thats' what they called James Dean! Congrats, Nick- guess I'll need to investigate your product line!

larrygre Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 I'm also working on some conversions like just one of them is a conversion for the AMT 58' plymouth belevdere to a 58' Fury. Sounds good to me Nick. That's one I've wanted to do since the AMT 58 came out, and I seem to remember making a point of that in the "Strictly Stock" column I reviewed it in. Long long ago in a galaxy far far away....!
Nick Winter Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 Well the 58' fury conversion is still in the works.
dwc43 Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 That 340, does it have the correct Carter Thermoquad carb on it? If so, I'll take a few.
