That 340, does it have the correct Carter Thermoquad carb on it? If so, I'll take a few.

It does. ;) I'll let you guys know when there ready to sell.

Great. If they look like the ones in the old AMT '71 Duster 340 kit, I'll want some of them.

Congrats on starting your resin casting business. It takes alot to start your own business, and for someone as young as you to do it is nothing short of remakable.

I just took a look at your website. You have a looooooong way to go... are you sure it's a good idea to list all of these things you're going to be offering...

maybe...

someday...???

Does the phrase "putting the cart before the horse" mean anything to you? :)

I don't want to burst your bubble, but maybe, just maybe, you should have everything in place and up and running before you make all sorts of grand promises...

Amen. Several friends and myself are learning the resin casting ropes right now, not as a commercial endeavor but to cast interesting stuff for ourselves. It's one thing to make a long list of stuff you want. It's quite another to get there with any level of true quality that others would be interested in. IMHO someone wanting to make a commercial go of it should keep a very low profile and learn as much as possible long before making any public lists. There's a pretty steep learning curve involved. You need a lot of materials, equipment, space with lots of good light and space that's not destroyed by the mess that resin makes. One should make molds/castings for themselves and learn through the myriad of mistakes that come w/the territory. A big list of potential items means nothing without the experience & business sense to back it up. There's a reason that many resin casters have come and gone, many (and we're talking some who made incredibly good product) with a lot of angry customers who paid for nothing. There's a reason there are so few real stars in the resin business whose products and customer service speak for themselves. Think about that long before making that dream list of items. The dream list is the easy part. The rest is reality.

ive been casting for the better part of the last 20 yrs and im still keeping a low profile. not by choice mind you..... ;) . the surest way to get notoriety in the casting biz is to put out a substandard product/service. unfortunately, its not the kind of notice you want. take it slow, learn the ropes then build on experience.

Hello there. You know I'm a big fan of Koenig Specials cars. I'm wondering if you can make some aftermarket body kit's for various cars so I can build more KS cars?

I'm interested in the Light Tune body kit for the Ferrari 355 model. There is already one available for 1/18 scale, but I'd like to have one in 1/24 scale to add to my current collection.

I'd also like to see a KS body kit for the BMW 850. I do know they exist in 1/18 scale die-cast BMW's, but is their a 1/24 scale BMW 850? Would like to see a KS body kit for both scales.

Plus, I'd like to see a Transkit for a KS Diablo in 1/18 scale as well as a KS Countach in 1/18 scale.

Also, can you make special wheels as well? Thank's!

Well I'm giving this up after some input from a member on here and many harsh words from that member. I'm still going to cast some stuff but only for myself and friends, but if you like something or are wondering what I cast i'm just going to do it as a simple VERY LOW PROFILE buisness or for trades.

I never seen this trend,This to me is WAY out of your abilitys,I tried it myself, just making a few hoods mind you, well out of 20 hoods I was left with 2 barely usable hoods,And If i'm not mistaking I think Ross Gibson is making most of the engines mentioned anyways,I thought it would be easy myself,Not at all I have seen Exactly how molds are made,And it take alot of time, and money to just make molds,as far as casting parts,You need a pressure pot,Good quality resin, and the right skills to do this,I'll just leave it up to the Pros out there!..........Steve Ketterer

Uh Steve first of all the last post is almost a year old, and second who are you to tell me about My ability's, next time you should read more before you post :D ,

Nick

In fairness to Nick, this is an ancient thread....check the dates. Looks like he thought the better of it and wisely got out of the resin business before he was in it.

Thanks Mark your a 100% correct.
