They were in HL not long ago, and Ollies blew out a bunch of them for under $10 within the last 2 or 3 years. I picked up an extra just because they were cheap. There are 15 of them on eBay right now, and quite a few of them have sold on eBay in the last 30 days for between $25 and $35, or about MSRP of any new AMT or Revell kit. I don't consider that super-rare. They're available. Oops!! You are right "Snake". I guess I stand corrected. It wasn't the case a while back the last last time I looked (at least the Lindberg kit that is)? Edited January 25, 2021 by TransAmMike

Awhile back I was looking for a '75-ish Nova, and they all seemed to be going for $50 plus at the time. But after a few weeks I'd found two under $30.

From pictures I've seen on the net of the original '70s box art, it seems like it started out fairly decent: At some point it seems like the grille texture was re-engraved. I suspect it was either damaged in some way, or just worn out enough that they redid it. I have a few copies of this kit, and none of them have a correct grille. I think it was just touched up on the original box. I had a hard time getting excited about this kit. There are proportion issues that bother me about it. The front doghouse is too short, the doors are too long and the rear backlight is too steep. I started a project with it. Fixing the proportions by moving the front door lines back about 3/16" and moving back the windshield, A-pillars and vent windows the same amount. Add length to the back of the hood and fenders. I also fixed the back window by leaning the top of it in and taking a section off of the roof. I added trim to the edges to make the moulding. A lot of work for such a mediocre kit! The upside of it is it has the best kidney bean mags of any kit I've ever seen.

I gave some thought to chopping a section out of the area, and then decided it just wasn't worth the effort and drove on. I would say what I ended up with looks more like a '66 Chevelle than the contemporary '69 Camaro kit looks like a '69 Camaro.
TransAmMike Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 Do these multiple issues beeing discussed pertain to the Monogram or Lindberg kit?
