This is I believe the 1977 issue of this cabover from Matchbox. I stretched the frame and added home cast resin rear drivers to it. I made the Sherman Brothers decals from a picture of their logo off the net. They are a heavy haul company based just north of Eugene, OR on I-5. I built the truck to represent one of the ones I used to see in the late 70's as a kid. It was really fun masking off those stripes. I also scratch built a new headache rack and some resin tool boxes.

The trailer is the reissue ERTL extend frame Great Dane trailer. I added wheels from an AMT Peerless logging trailer instead of using the kit rims. In addition the beam load is from several of the AMT kits.

Good looking rig. I realy like your paint scheme. The load straps are a nice touch also.

Very nice job on the rig! I love all the details, the chains haging on the truck, the flairs on the cab over the front wheels, little things like that go a long way to make it look "right" Jim

That's a great looking truck .. and build!

I'm a Structural Engineer, so forgive me for this, but that is a load of trusses, not beams. But, I'm sure AMT probably called them a "beam load". ;)

Very nice, I love all the small details like the multi-state tags above the license plate, and other small bits that really make it look like the real thing.
