gbdolfans Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Hey everyone, I was using Firefox and had no problems. My homepage,Yahoo, suggested I update to version 3.5 of Firefox. Now, when I open it,on most pages, a box opens that says "low memory"in a blue heading. In the white box, it says "script has stopped on this page" I deleted Firefox, and am using IE8 now. I like Firefox a lot, and, was wondering if anyone else has had a recent problem?? Thanks
Harry P. Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I use Firefox exclusively, and upgrade every time they suggest. I'm on 3.5 now. No problems ever.
crispy Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I've never had low memory but have had scripts stop running on weatherbug, otherwise no problems here either.
dwc43 Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I've been having problems with lock ups and low memory here lately. I think it's because I let the auto update update IE7 to IE8. Sometimes IE8 opens by it's self. Thinking about deleting IE8 and see if that helps it any.
Foxer Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I've used Firefox since it was Mozilla and even before that. The recent 3.5 update may need some updating of plugins you could be using. That is usually done automatically, of course, but some may lag behind a few days after an update. I've had no problems whatsoever, but I do have 4gigs of ram and would expect no memory problems. I would check the Fixefox website for any problems with the update with certain configurations. I would NEVER go to IE anything!!!
Eshaver Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I have had numerous problems with Firefox. I got it deleted and I wont beusing it once I get my computer back from te repair shop this time . I'll probably quit using yahoo too. Ed Shaver

I have to second this - Never a problem with Firefox and I avoid MSIE whenever possible - I only use it to test websites. If you are having problems with Firefox check their site to see if there are any known issues otherwise it may be something on your computer.
MikeMc Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I suspect your problem is Yahoo....It will take over everything...just like Google...I have McAffee and it blocks all that garbage from coming in. I actually eliminated "Google Chrome" because of this ongoing issue. I love Google but ........ Why don't you go back to a restore point before your upgrade and see whats up??
