Buildsince93 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Awesome progress so far I like the little details like the bow ties on the rims what kit is this? Did you convert it to a pro street or does it come that way? Again nice progress I look forward to seeing this one completed! -Dante
george 53 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Dante(nice name), that kit is the AMT 67 Chevelle Pro- Street. I don't know if it's still available,as I haven't seen one on the shelves in quite some time! Those neet rims come with the kit. GREAT kit for parts and it's a GREAT kit ta build!
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Thank you guys! Actually this is Revell ´67 Chevelle Prostreet kit. Those rims comes on it and many other nice parts
george 53 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 OOPS, my bad! Still a REALLY nice kit though!
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 Here is interior so far More later
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 Interior is finally finished! And body is painted. Those spots in paint will disappear after its polished so dont worry. Its brush painted and it is smoooooth All comments are welcome
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 Paint is polished now, but im not happy with results. It was my first polishingjob so far. Well what ever it looks, i started to put decals on it. Now it looks much better. Only drivers side is finished now, soooo next passingers side, hood, trunk etc... Ill try to wax it later and clear it by floorwax. Cheers...
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Thank you Riz. I am working with it now Almost all decals are placed now. So next i start working with chassis, and updates of it are comin soon
Dragline Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Looking good Janne! Can't wait to see it done. You foiling the windows or painting them? I still cannot believe it's brush painted. it's smooth. Bob F
Janne Herajärvi Posted October 4, 2009 Author Posted October 4, 2009 Thank you both Yes it is brush painted, but i really need to learn how to get best results with polishing. Im going to put BMF on window trims. This model is pretty close to finishline, still some work to do
Janne Herajärvi Posted October 4, 2009 Author Posted October 4, 2009 It was one huge nightmare to put that flamedecal on hood, but now its done. Results could be better, but not with my skills Next im going to wax the body and hood and then some BMF work to do
Janne Herajärvi Posted October 4, 2009 Author Posted October 4, 2009 Here is something for you about brushpaintjobs. Yellow Duster has get first coat of paint on it. Well you see in there some dust and brushdrawts etc. It MUST be wetsand between coats, so if you do that everything when you paint it and then polish and wax it you will get results like i got in Chevelle. Chevelles roof after polishing and wax Ill try to explain that later better, but ask if you got something that you wanna know Cheers...
Janne Herajärvi Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 Here is pic what i took when some BMF added. Needs little more Cheers...
Janne Herajärvi Posted October 10, 2009 Author Posted October 10, 2009 I dont make own topic for this because it is almost done. So here is my Duster so far It needs only little pieces and paintjob finishing for body etc details. All comments are welcome
Janne Herajärvi Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Small update for Chevelle. Did some blackwashes for engine and installed it in chassis and also rear axle. Cheers...
Janne Herajärvi Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Small update for Duster too! Little blackwashes also and some other details. Body needs paint but getting closer to finish.
