gasman Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 (edited) does anyone know if there is a Tamiya TS color that is close to this color. I'm leaning toward Brilliant Blue but I'm not sure and the instructions don't list this color. Edited October 2, 2009 by gasman
Foxer Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Why not just just pick up a bottle of touch up paint at your local Nissan dealer? I realize a 1:1 metallic can sometimes be out of scale on a model, but I've had great results from many of the 1:1 paints when building the cars I have owned, many of which had metallic paint. Just thin it down to milk consistency as usual and air brush. Good luck on your quest and be sure to let us see the results of your build.
Len Geisler Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 www.scalefinishes.com Jameston is the man.....good prices and good products
Zoom Zoom Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Tamiya doesn't have a color that's close...the Nissan color is a metallic/pearl. Closest hobby paint would likely be Testors Icy Blue one coat lacquer w/a coat of Tamiya transparent blue over it. Or go w/Scalefinishes and use an airbrush.
