Hi Guys, this is the next finished build of my Ferrari series, the 612 Scaglietti. I didn't turn out too good as the paint is too thick and the hood won't fit at all. Despite these, I added some seatbelts and PE parts, replaced the rims and the brake discs and calipers - these are the weakest part of the kit. I planned to paint it silver so I painted the interior black/red, but I changed my mind after to paint the body red, so red body with red interior might look strange a bit. The pics look a bit yellow, it might be my new camera + indoor shots, please forgive me :-) Enough of the talk, here come the pics, any feedback is appreciated, thank for watching!

Well for not liking the paint I think it looks pretty darn good. Great shine and looks to be pretty smooth. The red inside doesn't look that bad. Great wheel choice. Your right the wheels on this kit don't do it for me either. I have the same kit but have not started it yet. Still getting ideas. Anyway you did a great job on this one. Looks very tasty.

Looks great on my end! I think, as any Ferrari owner would tell you, you can order whatever color leather you desire. I think it is a very neat combination of red over red.

I like your wheel choice too. Are those Camaro wheels? They look pretty good on there.

As for your hood not fitting, welcome to the inherent problem of this kit. Mine is the same way as are a few others who have built this kit.

Again, great work!

It looks pretty good to me, just leave the hood up and no one will know the fit is poor. Red on red was very popular in American cars in the 1960"s so it doesn't look out of place. All and all, the wheels are a major improvement, it looks nice.

Nice!

I've built 2 of these already. Nice call on the wheels.

About the pictures, they are a bit underexposed (dark) and the white balance should be set to tungsten. That should bring the color a bit closer to reality.

If you don't mind, I played a bit with the white balance on your first picture:

Tommy, it looks GREAT! Red on red is normal to us, as Pete mentioned. You'd NEVER know the hood don't fit, caz the REST of it looks that good! Thanks for the heads up in it though, caz I have that kit too, just ain't messed with it yet! NOW I know!

Funny how everyday Camaro wheels look SO right onna 100,000 dollar car! ;) GREAT BUILD!!! ;);)

Looks very nice with those Camaro wheels! ;)

Ferrari will do so much customization that the red/red combo is likely something you can buy on the real car and it does look good. I've seen some really hideous white/red interior schemes on Ferraris that are incredibly tacky.

I built my Scag as a custom w/a Viper hood, never bothered to check to see if the stock hood fit. I have a second kit to build in more of a stock configuration...I might steal the Camaro wheel idea if I can't find something else suitable.
