I just finished watching my recording of the Norway rally on HD theater. Deep snow, narrow roads, large trees and speeds sometimes topping 120 mph (200 kph)= Freekin awesome. :D Anybody out there like WRC?

Yes. Can't say I've ever really followed it or seen much except highlights of both recent and historic races, but I love it. Also taken to building some of Tamiya's outstanding rally car kits. We don't see nearly enough of them here.

Yeah well lucky you! I hate all you guys with HD Theater, if I can only pay for two channels, I would get that and BBC, that's all I need! ;) and maybe watch SPEED for the select races.

I don't know, but i'm sure you know my status on rally, I'm probably the biggest fan here. Rallying is just top notch, I don't care what anyone says or tries to compare to other racing, NOTHING comes close, these guys are the best of the best and no fear with real cars on real roads and terrain with real weather and real obstacles and they have to know how to drive and navigate, all that takes talent. :D

OK I guess I'm not up to date here ('course that's nothing new ;) ) but what is HD theatre? Sounds like something worthwhile if it has WRC coverage.

I really like WRC and enjoyed watching it, along with other road racing related shows, on Speedvision (before the Speed NASCAR channel :D ) I read a short announcement somewhere recently about a new rally series coming up, is this being shown on any channel yet?

WRC is my number one favorite class of motorsports. I was severely miffed when Speed Vision changed to Speed Channel and dropped WRC off their list. I haven't been able to watch it since then except for YouTube clips. My brother gave me a DVD of one of the seasons races a few years ago and I was hoping to keep up with it but never did.

I'm baffled at how these guy's can drive that fast on streets barely as wide as the car itself! And how they pilot their "rocket-ships" through tight forest roads and getting so close to the trees they knock the bug's off!

My favorite is the Monte Carlo and most of the Tarmac races when we see them drift around hair-pin turns and switchbacks! These guy's are certainly the most amazing drivers in my book. And yes, they do have big "lug-nuts"! ;)

And it's nearly extinct.

2 Ford Teams

2 Citroen Teams

1 Jr Citroen Team

everyone else dropped out.

WRC - Far and above other forms of racing because it includes all of the. Mud bogging, off road racing, asphalt, snow, dirt, jumping you name it. Every week end is another miniature Paris Dakar. These guys have a to have a pair that needs a semi just to get to the track :D I have never been so happy as the day I saw it was coming back in HD. DVR is set to record it permanently. I have been wanting to do a diorama of it for a long time. Now it is the next project. Glad it is back in the USA.

I have Brighthouse cable here in Florida, they offer around 20 plus High Definition channels. Contact your local provider and see if they carry HD. HD Theater is it's own channel, they have alot of great motorsport shows. ( WRC,Ilse of Man TT, Goodwood, Concours D'Elagance,e.g.) I was also mad when Speed turned into Nascar TV, at least they still show F1 ;) I hope the Nascar gods weren't listening -they may add more useless Nascar news. Or worst yet 24 hours of Barrett Jackson. ;)

WRC is definitely awesome, the cars are built pretty tough. I watched the Ireland rally 2 weeks ago and one of the cars took out a power pole, the car and crew survived. For anyone searching, WRC is usually on Sunday evenings.

Thank's, I will check and see if we have HD Theater. Never even heard of it till this thread so I doubt we've got it so we'll see.

I watch the occasional Le Man's and GT races, but that's about it. I don't care much for Speed anymore. They were best when they were "Vision".

WRC isn't like it used to, IRC is the real stuff now and RallyAmerica in the states, why in the hell don't we have coverage of that?

HD Theater is supposedly the new version of Speedvision with some nature integrated with it :( The bees knees what I hear. 12 hours of car and car related shows and motorsports, need I say more, doesn't that sound like what was Speedvision?

All I can say is Speed Vision was awesome, Speed Channel sucks. The last time I got to see broadcasted WRC coverage was last year I think it was, when family and I visited London. We stayed at a very nice hotel and their cabal service had a channel that broadcasted it.

Well, I was searching through the channels on our Direct TV and it lists it, but when I click on it, I get a blank screen. So, I wonder if its part of a package that we haven't subscribed too. Will find out tomorrow. I sure would love to be able to Tivo it!

Sweeeet! So glad I found out about HD Theatre! We've always had a high-def plasma tv and receiver, but some reason we weren't getting the channels! So last week we made a call to our service provider, and today they updated the system free! So now, we get all the high-def channels including HD Theatre! So whomever was the genius that mentioned about the WRC being on HD Theatre, thank you very much for posting! Can't wait for tonight at 8:00PM Colorado time. I Tivo'd the entire series! I'm so very excited!

:D:lol::P:D:P:D:P:D

Well, very exciting but at the same time very disappointing. Only Citroen and Ford left? Why did all the other's drop out? Will they be back? I'd like to see Subaru's newest WRX race in the field! And what about Peugoet?

It's not what it used to be, but it shouldn't be just those two manufacturers only!

Can't be much of a "WORLD" Rally Championship with only two car manufacturers. :D

Plus, I didn't find Argentina all that exciting anyhow. I prefer the Monte Carlo races!

I like WRC! Here is one fun pic from old days. Its from Jyväskylä-rally and year was 1972. Check their faces when they jump :D Russian cosmonauts on the way ;)

It would be fun to build model of that car

I've tried logging on to the WRC website for a couple days now and get "This page cannot be found", or some such message. Anyone know if they are still in business?

Can't imagine a Russian built Fiat surviving that jump in drivable condition!! Ouch! :o

I love sitting down and watching Rally clips on Youtube. I love the vintage stuff. There was one of the Giro D'Italia tarmac rally from late 70s with a Porsche 935 with a rack of rally lights bolted to it tearing down the road. It was awesome. ;);)

Strange, I found it the other day but when trying to book-mark it my Safari quit.
