Chuck Most Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) Here's a diecast 1/25 scale Gehl skid loader I picked up at my local farm equipment dealer. I took it apart and weathered it, because nothing bugs me more than a showroom-fresh piece of construction equipment! Edited October 16, 2009 by Chuck Most

And I have no idea how the picture ended up being smaller than my avatar... weird, huh? Fix it some how Photobucket or is it uploaded here?. I'm sure it looks great and well used but it is really hard to see

RodneyBad Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Consider it done, sir! Is this better? Peeeeeerfect. Great Weathering. I've seen that on a couple of Job sites I've been too. I think it is time for Service now. Great work..
Sixties Sam Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Great realism! It looks like a real piece of well used equipment. Nice work!
Harry P. Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Here's a diecast 1/25 scale Gehl skid loader I picked up at my local farm equipment dealer... Your "local farm equipment dealer?" Where do you live, Hooterville?
dptydawg Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Nice weathering job on the skid stear, Chuck. I did something similar with a 1/25th scale bobcat diecast loader. It sure makes the model look more accurate. It also draws attention away from the things that make it look like a diecast Great work Carl
Chuck Most Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 (edited) Your "local farm equipment dealer?" Where do you live, Hooterville? Harry- I am offended...no...OUTRAGED by your elitist suburban yuppie-ism! EVERYBODY knows that it's a three day pack mule trip from Ithaca to Hooterville.... sheesh! Well, four days if you bring your wife/cousin/sister along with you! Not that Hooterville sounds like a bad place, judging from the first six letters, anyhow! I know you're probably in the pocket of the Chigago mob... but show a little decency, would ya? Is it any consolation if said farm equipment dealer is not actually in the town where I live? Oddly, the hodunk stinkhole I live in has no farm equipment dealer- I had to drive 8 miles to get this skidder! Now, on a serious note- Thanks, guys. Glad to see I'm not the only one who's bothered by stuff like this with a brilliant showroom shine! They had an another, larger, 1/25 diecast skidder that I'm thinking of giving the treatment to.
