Terry Jessee Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 T-buckets have been around since about 1914. Here's a few T kits. This is AMT's 1925 Model T pickup from the original "Double T" kit. And here's a hot rod version--again, from an original Double T. This is a 1923 T built from the 1975 "Street Rods" series kit. Much different from the original '25 kit. This is built as I remember a drawing I did in about fifth grade. I wanted to build something like this from the Double T, but didn't have the skill at the time. So I did it later. This is the boxmate for the black stock T pickup--again, another original Double T model. Wheels are from an original AMT Parts Pack. This model is the AMT 1927 T Touring, built from the 1968 edition of the kit, and done to replicate the box art hot rod. Tom Daniel said that the "Red Baron" was an idea based on a T-bucket, so I include it here. This is Lindberg's old T bucket kit--this one is built from the 1970 "Tee Wagon" edition. And here's a Wild Willy Borsch drag T. Terry
RJWood Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Beautiful T-bucket builds Terry. I like all of em'. Thanks for sharing them. I can't wait for the reissue of the double T kits from AMT round 2.
Modelmartin Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Cool Ts, Terry! There is something very appealing about Ts. You can do anything with them. They are a great canvas for anyone to paint on to express themselves.
Smart-Resins Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Some nice ts tghere. I like the yellow hot rod and the chopped t version! Nice ones. Jody
Chuck Most Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I like them all, but these two are my favorites!
mageckman Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Oh man, Terry, that first one definately brings back the memories. I learned to start and drive one at about the age of 8 or 9. Learned to watch out for the crank as well. One set of busted ribs was enough, lol. I grew up learning about and helping restore several old fords. Beautiful models, thanks for the trip down memory lane.
James Flowers Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Very nice builds of not to often seen models. I remember building those kits.
