What is that color and the paint? I just yesterday painted a body with a Plasti-kote automotive touch-up lacquer that is very, very similar. It was too humid and my paint blushed like a ... well, it blushed a lot. I'd like to know what you used in the event that I can't finish my project with the paint I still have.

Anyway, to your question. Agreed it would look good either way, but I think a little clear would look better in the end.

Back in the day, there was no such thing as a flat finish, except for primer. Everything else about that car screams KOOL KUSTOM KAR, so...

YA GOTTA KLEAR IT!

If it were mine, I would not clearcoat it. I am willing to bet that you have many, many customs that are nice and shiny....this will be pretty cool if it is flat...just my view. Either way, I am sure it will look great.

Ok where should I go with this? Should I clear or not ? I like how it looks but think it would look good in clear too what would you do?

Hi Tom :D

Not sure about your paint supplies or spray equipment, but if it were me, I'd add a little "Gold Pearl" to some good urethane clear, and airbrush it.

You'd not only get a "GOTCHA GLOSS" :o , but beautiful "Gold Highlights" from different angles.

Just my 2cts ;)

I like it the way it is, my vote is for leaving it that way. The flat is a cool look.
