Lyle Willits Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 (edited) '32 Ford resin bus from RMR. All of the panel lines have been rescribed because they were barely visable. Holes have been drilled for red and amber lights. Most stuff molded to the rear of the body have been removed and tailights will be added later. It will be Krylon yellow (of course). I've modified the interior in a few places. The class is currently studying old school rods, so they have been given lots of old magazines. The wheels were given to me awhile ago by club member Gary Sutherlin. I think maybe they are Plymouth Prowler wheels - not sure. '32 Ford caps added to the centers and disc brakes all around. Mockup using the AMT deuce hood and grille shell. (Don't ask me why RMR based this on the 50 year old AMT kits instead of the current revell kits.) Edited November 7, 2009 by Lyle Willits
David@MinidreamsInc. Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 wild subject ! In the buff these wheels dont seem to work with it but once you dress it in color maybe it will! Maybe a lower profile front tire ! I'll just shut up now .
Custom Hearse Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I wish I rode in a bus that looked half as cool as that one! Nice work Lyle!!! Is it a complete kit, or do you have to use another kit to build it? Interior is great! Looking forward to seeing more!
Sixties Sam Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Now there's a school bus that's really a cool bus! Can't wait to see this one finished!
Modellpularn Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Really cool school bus! Now, who wouldn't want to go for a ride in that one....? Yes, educate the kids about hot rods. That's how I learned some of my english, looking at and eventually reading HOT ROD and CAR CRAFT magazines!
James Flowers Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 That is a cool looking interior. Lucky kids. I have been wanting to get that kit for awhile now. Looking forward to the rest of the build.
Lyle Willits Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 Is it a complete kit, or do you have to use another kit to build it? Resin kit includes the body, interior floor piece, 7 seats, chassis. Builder supplies the rest. http://www.freewebs.com/rmrresin/nf125.htm

Janne Herajärvi Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Interesting project! Looks great so far
Fletch Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Very Cool Lyle, I can tell you that there was a lot of work went into converting that thing from right hand drive to left hand drive. I started the LS Hobbies full length version a coup;le a years back with a '37 Ford front end. It has since had the '37 Ford parts removed and shortened 1 full window behind the rear wheels.

I agree wholeheartedly with the back of the stop sign! this is one kit you can take to a club or show and there won't be 10 other of the same kit. Keep up the good work. Gary

Lordmodelbuilder Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Very cool bus! Can't wait to see it finished. Brad
