Monty Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 I was warned that this series would probably sell out quickly, but being king of the procrastinators, I waited. Now the big chains all seem to be out. Is AMT going to do another "run"? If you know of an online hobby place that has these cheap and in stock, please shoot me a link. Thanks!

Thanks! eHobbies had them for $25.00 + cheap shipping. "Had" being the operative word here. If nothing else, let this be a lesson to other procrastinators: If it's rare and it's suddenly available cheap, BUY IT NOW. Anyone know if AMT might do another run of these?
crispy Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Monty, It looks like Mega Hobby still has some left. Freightliner Looks like Tower has some "on order" for a good price too: Freightliner When I heard these were limited I picked up everything. Looks like the next limited one comes out this December in the form of the Transtar. Chris
tabsscale1 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I have always found that Fantastic plastics is always cheaper than Model Round up. Looks like he has the frightliner for $27.95. He is always fast with shipping them out as well. here is a link http://www.fantastic-plastics.com/catalog.html

I like pointy-clicky. I've always had good luck w/ Model Express and Evers Toy Store, both have very efficient sites and great customer service (though Evers doesn't carry the Round 2 stuff (yet)). Aaronw Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) Monty I doubt the whole run is already gone, it is probably just the first batch to the various shops. Round 2 made a much larger run with the FL than the Model King and Stevens runs of the Mack DM600, DM800, R and Autocar A64B. Those had people lined up to get them and they were available for a couple years after being re-issued. If Round 2 actually sold the whole run within days I'm pretty sure we will see another batch. Still I wouldn't lollygag, these recent Round 2 kits are 1/2 the price of the limited issue Stevens & Model King kits. Yeah, the shopping cart at MR is kind of a pain. Good service, selection and prices though which helps make up for it. Edited November 2, 2009 by Aaronw
