Space Cowboy Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 Where did you get the wheels and tires? I'LL be watching this build Like I do all of your builds. Glad your over here now also. I am not sure where the wheels and tires came from i found them in an old box under my work bench.
Space Cowboy Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 Got the rims reworked and changed them from a 10 lug to a 8 lug. Got the front wheel openings done and need to do the rear and the rear fender flares yet. More coming soon.
RodneyBad Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Your body work is amazing. Now if you started out with a chevette .
JayC Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 This thing is going to look really cool when finished. I'm a sucker for duallies!
BigBlockLyle Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Bruce, great work as always. I'm gonna watch this one closely. I can remember when I was about 5, there was an old farmer that had an older Ford dually much like the one you are building. I remember it because I saw it every spring and fall for about 3 years. It was a two tone dark and light tan and it even had a name that the farmer had as a vanity plate. It said SODBSTR 1. Seeing this brings back those memories.
bigphoto Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 (edited) Very good work!!!! I have a suggestion about the rear fenders you may want to find an AMT 92-96 Flareside and use the rear fenders as a starting point as the already have the right radiused wheel opening. Jordan White Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Looks like an interesting project! Quick note though, you technically could have left the rims as 10 lug since the F-450 and F-550 Chassis Cabs came with 10 lug hubs/wheels, so you could have simply said it was a conversion.
