BigGary Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 looks just right! Great job building a genuine, bonified Grandma Grocery Getter. That's not a put down. there were probably thousands of those made. 100s were probably rescued to become street machines. Gary
VW Dave Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 No stripes, scoops or dual exhausts....capless Rally wheels....six cylinders...me likey.
Guest Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Sweet! Very very nice. What kit did you get the 6 out of? I did a Chevelle wagon with a 6, used the 6 out of AMT's 60 Chev. pickup, corrected to 66 specs.
ale8oneboy Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Digging the sixers I have been seeing lately. Love the rally wheels. Nice to see non-SS/non-big block/non-V8 muscle cars from time to time. They don't all have to be outrage muscle cars. Granny needs to pick up her groceries too! What did sixer did you use? Nice job on the detail!
Reeves Racing Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Great job. Where did you find the Rallye Wheels without the caps and beauty rings?
Guest Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Mitch, those wheels are in AMT's 69 Chevelle kit.
JayC Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Great looking build! I really like the color. It's builds like these that I really appreciate. I like to see normal cars have attention paid to them. I like the popular cars, too, along with customs, but the everyday cars just really stand out to me.
RTK434 Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Very cool build. Nice to see something a little different. Just the kind of nice clean base model car I'd like to find in real life for my next 1:1 project.

AMT Original I have had a few junk kits over the years for parts and got a decent engine from one of them..........the trumpeter kit has a very detailed six also.........another option
