Roadkill2525 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I don't have a model of Posey's Challenger, but I saw it and met Sam Posey.
elan Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I love those old Trans-Am racers! Where did you get the decal sheet? Also what's NASCAR? LOL
2002p51 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Anybody mind if I toss in a couple of photos of the car in action?

weasel Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) There was a purple challenger ran by Swede Savagein the series. Swede is also the guy who at indy is shown in a destroyed car with his feet hanging out the front end, what a name for a racer! the Posey build is excellent! saw an article on Sam while ago, still has the fire , but his body is fighting him on it. ya mean this one?? Swede Savage, that guy could drive... great build also...i always liked the color combo.. Edited January 26, 2010 by weasel
tuffone20 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) Man you guys all did awesome jobs on the Posey Challenger's!! I've always liked that car and I also did one, but the one I did is H.O. scale and is a slot car Edited January 28, 2010 by tuffone20

Roadkill2525 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) Any plans for doing the #76 Tony Adamowicz Challenger? Edited January 29, 2010 by El Destructo Inc
MarkJ Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Great job on the Challenger. The only reason they created the Nascar section was to keep the nascar builds out of the rest of the forum. Since your Challenger was from the SCCA Trans-Am series you did not have to post it here. You might have had more views in the "Under Glass" section. Again awesome job on the Challenger.
bsoder Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 Any plans for doing the #76 Tony Adamowicz Challenger? No not really, although I do have the decals for the #76 car or most of them anyway. I also built the George follmer Mustang & hey it's my post so heres a pic. I still want to do a Camaro one a these days Well mark tomato..tamato I made an executive decision maybe we could have a subsection here for T/A cars

Any model with numbers and contengencies would go there. Edited January 30, 2010 by MarkJ

Works for me man, but It's above my paygrade I wonder how much in the way of new NASCAR builds are their going to be without a kit of the COT... their isn't one is their?

Actually there is a COT kit coming out by AMT. I have heard that it will only be the Chevy version first. Another problem will be that the kit will have the wing but by midseason they are going back to a spoiler for the COT and so you will have to fabricate your own spoiler to build a current car after mid year. A link about the the COT kit discussion is below. http://randyayersmod...der=asc&start=0
ViperDave Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Hi Guys. I see some of my old friends on here. Art, Drew, David, Matt and others. I am doing fine and keeping buzy. I was at Amelia Island Concours DeElegance last month and the #76 Challenger took second place. My girl friend was talking with Jennifer Revson (Peter Revsons sister) and Bill Werner came by. BIll is the show director. When she said she was with the Green Challenger he said "Oh that one"--"We really had a hard time with that class". A blue 68 Mustang won the class but he said it was just a tie and they had to choose one of them. Since Sam Posey was there as a guess it might have been that they didn't want it to sound like they did some favortism by chosing the Challenger. Either way second place isn't bad at that show. We were very happy. We will be taking the Petty Challenger to 4 more shows this year and the Posey Challenger will be at Chryslers at Carlisle in July and who know where else. I will try to keep an eye on this board more often. Thanks Dave
bsoder Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 Speaking of viperdave!!..feel free to add some pics. here if you have any. I'd love to see them
