I was up at Dayton a couple of months ago at a place called Daddy Katz. It is over by the old GM plant on the east side of town. They had a model contest there and I think they are having another one later this year. Nice place to have a contest. Dave

Yes. We have the #76 Sam Posey Trans am Challenger. It took 9 years to restore it. We also resored the first of the Dan Gurney Trans am Cuda's back in the 80's and sold it a few years ago. The Petty car is the original Chrysler kit car prototype that Petty built. It is a 73-74 style Challenger and is the one Dale Earnhardt tested for Petty. We also have the Jim Cushman Chrysler kit car. It was originally a Duster body but now has an Aspen body on it. We will go back with the Duster body when we restore it. We did restore the #77 Challenger trans am racer for Ken Epsman and he still owns it and lives in Calif. Thanks.

Bill, You are correct. He has tried to sign on a bunch of times and for some reason he has problems. I think he needs to start over with a new name and password. Chopper doesn't have any problems with anybody on here and of course none with Gregg either. In fact all of us went out for dinner together last year in Atlanta. As a matter for fact the last time we saw you was when we all went out together for dinner in Toledo. Thanks Dave

For a long time Chopper didn't have a digital camera or a computer. I took the pics and posted them. Now he has both but he was having problems downloading the pics and he also has to share the computer with his family so he doesn't get a lot of time on it. Thanks Dave

Lindburg made the 61 and be sure to get a later one. The first ones had problems with the hood and they had to redo the mold.

Are you going to do the 62 to look like the 61 in the first picture?? I didn't know if you knew they were 2 different years. Thanks Dave

Hi Guys. I see some of my old friends on here. Art, Drew, David, Matt and others. I am doing fine and keeping buzy. I was at Amelia Island Concours DeElegance last month and the #76 Challenger took second place. My girl friend was talking with Jennifer Revson (Peter Revsons sister) and Bill Werner came by. BIll is the show director. When she said she was with the Green Challenger he said "Oh that one"--"We really had a hard time with that class". A blue 68 Mustang won the class but he said it was just a tie and they had to choose one of them. Since Sam Posey was there as a guess it might have been that they didn't want it to sound like they did some favortism by chosing the Challenger. Either way second place isn't bad at that show. We were very happy. We will be taking the Petty Challenger to 4 more shows this year and the Posey Challenger will be at Chryslers at Carlisle in July and who know where else. I will try to keep an eye on this board more often. Thanks Dave

I would like to build something for this one but I know that I have too many real car projects to do that I wouldn't have time right now to work on one. The Trans Am Challenger took 9 years to complete. The other projects won't take that long but they still will keep me buzy. Dave

My son has one just like that. He replaced the leaking bags with coil-overs.

They aren't quite the same. Butterscotch is code EL5 and Bahama Yellow is EG5. They are close though.

Chopper was trying to post the pictures on Spotlight and he didn't do something right so I told him just to E-Mail me the pics and I would post them. He will get the hang of it soon and be posting the pics himself. He got this one done just in time for the NNL east. We both will be there. Thanks Dave

When I read through the magazine the first time I didn't read that article "Yet". I read over the rest of the magazine but I will go back and read all of it from cover to cover. I know there are things that will be helpful and useful to improve my modeling skils. No complaints here. Dave

I got mine Friday Jan 2. I just started my subscription with this issue. I have been reading it and so far it looks like a good one. I am in the group photo too. #1 on the Far left. I am also in the COMA group photo in the front with the white T shirt.
