  1. Bill. What kind of gas are you going to use in the tailgate struts. It is looking nice so far. But when you get more done - - - - - It will look better of course. We all know what kind of workmanship to expect from you. Only the best. Dave.

  4. This started out as a PIF on Hobby Heavens message board of the Cadzilla. It has gone through a lot of changes. I didn't want to do a Slammer so I had to make the interior. Nothing else was even close to use so it is scratch built. I am using the custom seats from the latest issue of the 57 Ford with a 60 Chrysler dash and a 61 Buick Special steering wheel. I still have a lot to do to make my own side panel design and to make the clear bubble over the gauges on the dash.
  5. I read this a little while ago and "Chopper" was here with me reading it too. He made this list of the ones that are out now and the ones coming. 1. 02 T-Bird Coupe with the 90's Mustang roof. 2. 51 Buick Chopperhead made from the Cadzilla resin 3. 51 Chevy Hardtop. It is chopped and sectioned 4. 49 Mercury Cab Over car hauler. A shortened merc cab raised up. 5. 68 Chrysler 300. Chopped top New ones coming out. Jimmy already has 2 of them and 2 more later 1. 67 Lincoln hardtop. 66 Ford fast back added 2. 73 "Slam-Pala" 73 Impala with custom front and a El Camino styled back 3. 51 Buick "Road Blaster" The Chopperhead body made into a 2 seater roadster. 4. 59 Imperal Kustom. Chezoom roof added.
  6. I have two tools that I made. The first is for scribing panel lines and cutting out doors. It also cleans out panel lines with they get filled with primer. I made it from an old X-Acto blade and a little grinding with the dremel grinding stone. As you can see I drag it along the lines and it doesn't slip very much at all. Much easier than using the back of the blade and keeping the tool upright. The second one is used for scribing the lines around windows for a guide for BMF. I made it from brass tubes, a pin and a used X-Acto blade. I put 3 tubes of brass together and soldered them. I took the pin and put it in the tubes epoxied it to the blade with the point of the blade up about 1/2 inch from the end of the pin. The T at the top of the pin goes through the hole in the blade. Now use the pin as a guide along the inside edge of the window you can make a uniform line around the window and it makes BMF a breeze.
  7. This is Ted "Chopper" Lears model. I just posted the pics for him. But for you answers, He cut the roof off just at the bottom of the A and C pillars. When he did the vent window he left the bottom of the window and cut both post. They aligned up just right and the front window fit right in. On the back he cut a little off the roof at the bottom and cut the window frame out and layed it down a little. I doesn't really look to different untill you compair it to the new one I have. Maybe next time we will take pics of both. "Chopper" is going to make some other changes in the grill and tail light areas but he hasn't decided what to do yet. I will post pics as he gets farther along.
  8. Chopper has been trying to get on and has signed up but when he trys to sign on it says his password is wrong. I need to go over to his house and check it out and fix some things on his computer. He doesn't have a digital camera so he comes here so we can shoot the pics. I'll let him know you were asking. Thanks Dave.
  9. It looks like the roof came on the model because it is blue but it came from a 65 Grand Prix and has been chopped. . .
  10. This was made from one of the original 59 kits. He put the Chezoom roof on it. It isn't finished yet. The interior will be pearl white. . .
  11. Dave. It only came with one dash but I don't think it would take much to cut it apart and put the main dash cluster on the other side. Of course you would have to make a few knobs and do some filling but not beyond what others have done. The color is Beret green that comes in the little 1/4 oz testors bottles. It is flat paint had had to be clear coated. I guess there are colors that are close but when I was looking through my paint that one stuck out as being the closest from what I remembered. The interior is Model masters Wood and Rust.
  12. This is the reissue of the old Monogram slot racing body kit. Not a whole lot of detail but still a nice looking Ferrari and I love the Prancing horse. The Ferrari Horse, The Lamborghini Bull, and of course the Dodge Viper are my favorite animals. . .
  13. Model Masters "Wood" for the tan and it was air brushed on. The floor is color is called "Rust" and was textured with the end of a paint brush while drying to give the carpet look. It is Out of box so I didn't add anything but paint.
  14. It took me a little over a week to finish this model and it was a nice kit. It is made by Aoshima. . .
  15. I wonder is this is what Bill looked like driving the midget. http://www.autopuzzles.com/Fury%20Junior.jpg
  16. My old eyes are 58 years old and I can't see the difference so I wouldn't worry about it. Who needs that much detail anyway. By the way, are you going to make the radio work???? Later Dave. OH Bill, I hope to meet you someday. As you probably know Chopper and I are good friends and me and my buddy are the ones who gave Chopper his nickname. We taught him how to paint and now we are the students and he teaches us. I plan on going to Toledo someday and maybe some of the NNL's on the east coast.
  17. Just a few progress pics. It should be done in a couple of days.
  18. It's called a "Color me Ford" kit. This is all that is on the box top. You are suspose to color the box top like you would like yours to look like. It is the regular kit with all the options. The box is a flat style box like the old Johan boxes and doesn't have any other pics on the box. I think the only other one that came out was the 67 Vette.
  19. I bought this model new and built it when I was 12. I decided it was time for a restoration. You can see what I started with and the finished product. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks to Tom Coolidge for the rear bumper and windows.
  20. Check in the "Under glass" section for the finished model
  21. I just got the tape off and sit it together. I still have more work to do on the interior and of course BMF and clear. It is something different. Thanks for looking.
  22. Sell????? what does that mean. I don't do things like that with my extra parts. How about I just give them to you. Send me your address and I will send them your way. Better they go to good use than sit in the box. Later Dave.
  23. I used Tamayi's Italian Red in the can and the Tamayi clear. Two coats of red and one coat of clear. I painted the mirrors but when I sat them on the fenders I didn't like them so I went with Viper mirrors. I just tossed the old ones back in the box. I like these better for a street car.
