  1. The body had the first coat of Primer but still a ways to go.
  2. It's painted with Fingernail polish made my Wet and wild. The color was Confetti Glitter. I have had it for about 15 years at least and it was still good. It is a clear with colored flakes and I put it over a black base. I tried that when I first got the bottle and said someday I will paint a model that color. So now was the time.
  3. Jeremy is 30 but he hasn't built too many models. He has a little ADD that makes building models a little tough on him so the Challenger and Nissan are the best that he has done. I am proud of him because he is doing a lot better with his models and just needs to take his time when he builds. Thanks. Dave
  4. It's just a slammer model. No engine and no interior.
  5. That looks great. I want to do another Daytona in Q5 Turquoise Metallic. They made 3 of the real Daytonas in that color.
  6. While we were taking pics and posting them we got the call from Billy and burnt up some of those free minutes then got a call from Ken "Bondo" Brickell. Between the 3 of them I but they use quite a few pounds of body putty each year.
  7. I got your message and tried to send back a reply but something didn't work so here is what I was trying to send. 'randbugeye' I could do that. His E-Mail is ChopChopTed@aol.com BUT that won't help you. I made the license plates for him. I used ACME to make the plates. I then went to a little program that came on some old disc called LivePix2.0 . I use that program to resize the plates. It might be hard to explain but on this program I open up each file that I want to print and it makes a file on the right side of the screen. Then all I have to do is drag each plate over to the middle and qrab the corner and move in down to resize it and then grab the whole pic and move it around to line them up in lines. I can put 25 plates on one little page and then when I go to print it puts 15 of those little squares on one sheet of Photo paper. 25 X 15 = 375 plates from one sheet of paper. The trick is that I use glossy photo paper to print the plates and we just cut them out and glue them on. I have a HP printer but most printers will do well enough when you use photo paper and use the settings on your printer for photo paper. If you have any questions you can e-mail me dirrectly at BlueGrassModeler@aol.com Thanks Dave
  8. Later breaking news. Chopper is taking legal action against Mr Stillwagon for coping his designs on his latest custom. He says that he copied his ROADBLASTER design by using the Corvette interior and windshield. The Roadblaster has been done for at least a year now. Updates at 5. The truth is that Billy and Chopper are great friends and while Chopper was over last night while I was posting the pics Billy called and we were checking out different contest coverages and nit picking at some of the other model designs. Later Dave
  9. Albert. Chopper wants to know where you got the 58 Wagon. Dave.
  10. I still have a couple of BMF's to replace and some to add. I should have it finished by next weekend.
  11. This is my old 62 Falcon custom. All the original body work was done in 62. The front and rear extensions were done then. Under the paint is the putty that came in the styline kit. I added the new roof from the 64 Galaxie kit back in 64 and it stayed that way for years. Back about 10 years ago I added the Chrysler type grill and painted it. It has been in a box but everytime I get it out I end up chipping the paint. Now it looks like I will need to repaint it one more time. I just wouldn't be satisfied if I didn't. You know being friends with "Chopper" means I just can't do a SO-SO paint job. I'm not sure about the wheels so I will still be thinking what I need for this one. What wheels would you use ????????? Thanks for looking.
  12. It is 1 inch longer than stock. 5/8 inch in the middle and 3/8 on the truck. It is the same length as the 70 Ford but it is 24th instead of 25 scale so in real life it would be a little shorter. I want it to look like what a full size Plymouth would have looked like if they used the Cuda styling. thanks Dave
  13. No. I will scribe new door lines to even up the doors and I will cut out the door handles and repossision them forward and take the other handles off the other body and put them on the rear door. What I am looking for is a stock looking Hemi Cuda that is what it would have looked like if Plymouth used the Cuda styling on thier full size cars. I have also redone the interior so the rear seat is forward a little bit and the package shelf is longer. The rear will have more leg room too.</B> Dave
  14. The trunk has been inlarged by 3/8 inch 2 bodies put together adding 5/8 inch to the length Compaired to the Daytona and 70 Galaxie bodies.
  15. Come and join in. 123 cars now entered. Just build an E-Body 70-74 Cuda any way you want. Any scale, Any company, Any way you want. http://wwwboard.spotlighthobbies.com/
  16. I thought I would teach him how to paint back when he joined the club. Now look what he does. Makes me work even harder. Thanks for the comment on the pics. Dave
