juergen Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 hi guys !!! after finishing the mercury the next model is on start: i wants to built this boss stock, but after looking the tires and the rimes i have work with other tires and rims. the tires from the kit are on the rear axle to small but on the front side to wide for me. so i made resin tires form a other kit and made aluminum rims for the rear axle. this is the stance now: i will do smaller rims for the front axle or what do you think? greets juergen
george 53 Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Looks GREAT like THAT Jurg! It's the PERFECT stance!!
my name is nobody Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I like the stance. the wide rear magnum 500 rims are really eye catching. one of my all time favorite model kits, in all it's incarnations. building one myself right now, as a seventies street machine. I'm going for more of a 'rake' than what you have going on with your kit. those deep 500's really caught my eye though.
diymirage Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 the way the front wheels fit right now would only work on a drag car where turning is not an option if you are looking to build a realistic car however...i would go with a front tire that is less wide or find a way to narrow the track
Space Cowboy Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 From there to here t still looks great. I like the wheels now we are in for a treat.
juergen Posted January 5, 2010 Author Posted January 5, 2010 hi guys !!! now i can show you a little bit more from the boss. i do the front rims also about aluminum on my late. now the deep is ok for me. so they get 10 J on the rear and 8 J on the front. the resin wheels are also painted. greets juergen
george 53 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Well now,Jurg, THAT looks completely natural for that car. I remember the first time I saw a Boss 429, and it sure looked like THAT! Dark Blue and NUTHIN but engine!!! Belonged to a GIRL named Barb! She traded in a 68 HEMI Road Runner for it!!!In BLUE too!
