That is a reference to the late Douglas Adams and his hitchhiker series...

Heck I came here to see some interesting builds and to pick up a few tips along the road..So I read an interesting thread about merging two cars..All I see is two tarts playing 'handbags at dawn'....

On my home forum if someone takes an idea of mine I take it as a compliment, and not an excuse to start a battle....

So goodbye gents..While there are many talented builders here,my life is too short to wade through all the b/s here....

I am out of here.

Arni I'm sorry you feel that way. I do understand though. Not all of us on here are so adolescent, but there are a few on here that all they want to bicker and rant.

Don't rush off.

Just read the first post with the pics and don't read the replys.

That way you get the candy from the "interesting builds" and no BS.

NOw that sounds like a plan! I'd give that a try before I quit the forum!

I don't know what particular post you're talking about, but if you leave the forum because of the poor behavior of a few members, you're basically handing over the forum to them!

I suggest you put people who are acting like fools on your "Ignore" list and stay here. Don't let the actions of a few members chase you away!

K,guys I will stay around.Point taken Harry. :)

Nigel,

MANY 'Internet Tough Guys' find sport in that type of behaviour.

As Harry and the others said..."Just ignore it". Don't let the wankers get you down.

We'll all suffer without you good guys.

Ill forth-fifth-sixth or what ever its up to now,in essence we are all here because we love to build and share as well learn from others with the same interests as ourselves....one builds because one loves to.

Don't forget about the ignore button.

It's kind of like being drunk.

What's so unpleasant about being drunk?

Why don't you ask a glass of water.

The hitchhiker series is my favorite 5 book trilogy. :D

I'm here to learn to model better, see some great builds and other peoples work.I don't care what anyone says here.I put nothing on ignore, but ignore what I don't like or think is not right.I'm not leaving.I can take it...That is me.Thanks,Chris

I'll third it, ( wait can you third it?)

We do it in lodge all the time! Although in Masonic or Robert's Rules, it doesn't really mean much, it does help emphasize a point if the brethren are strongly in favor of an idea.

Nigel, I can't remember who said it originally, but the quote that goes something like "for evil to triumph, all good men need to do is remain silent" comes to mind.

Don't be silent...don't let evil (or at least malice or stupidity) triumph.

Thanks a lot guys. As Arnie said 'I'll be back' LOL

I sure will be using the ignor user function(wanders off to the sound of evil laughter..)

So we have Douglas Adams fans here? Only he could do a trilogy in five parts.LOL

Heck Nigel, I don't know your age group but myself I'm too old to let something or some one get under my skin anymore! I wouldn't put them on ignore either. I just chuckle to myself and move on to the next post! Lifes to short to worry about the other guys shortcomings!

I'm an Adams fan! I also like Terry Pratchett. And, just discovered two of his series have been brought to film/TV (Hogfather and Colour of Magic). I'm going to have to look those up.
