HotRodaSaurus Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) Anyone into buses should take a look at this! Based on the Citroen U55 truck chassis this bus ferried tourists around Paris in the 1950s and 60s. I spotted it watching a French Film titled 'Zazie Dans le Metro', a great film for spotting european cars busses and trucks, also quite a few old 1950s American cars are featured as well. With all that glass, could anyone visualise this as a scratch built project? John The pic is a still from the film taken from the net Edited January 6, 2010 by HotRodaSaurus
george 53 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Jon, there's only 2 bus kits I know of, the old Scool Bus by Monogram an the new Revell of Germany one. THAT one I have, but it's a monster! If someone DID want ta build a bus they'd DEFINATELY be on their own! Pity too, cas some busses are neet lookin !
george 53 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 OOOO Ed, that silver one IZZZ NAZZZZ!!!! Only HOPE mine can look THAT good. I'ma gon TRY ta build it as a Rec.Vehicle! MAYBE towin a trailer, like I've seen on here!
Joe Handley Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Boy, does that look... French I was going to say absolutely hideous, but that works too
charlie8575 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I was thinking more "strange looking critter" myself, but it seems that can be said for a lot of European-designed items of the 1950s-60s. Somebody's making resin school buses in 1/25, I'll have to do some digging to see if I can find the link in my bookmarks because I can't remember who off hand. Don't forget to check out HO Scale, there are plenty of buses available there. Charlie Larkin
Guest arni Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Strangely enough I have the Revell coach in the stash too.. Something that I am working on slowly is a scratchbuilt 1:24 Italian Job coach.
Greg Cullinan Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Who knew the French had a version of the glasshouse! Anything with wheels interests meB) Thanks
