Custom Hearse Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) Here's the trailer to the new A-Team movie... http://movies.yahoo....mv-s.100255113- Looks like it might be a good movie. Edited January 12, 2010 by Custom Hearse
Smart-Resins Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Looks pretty cool. Only downfall, not the original BA Barracus!! LOL. Jody
Nick Winter Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Not my cup of tea, give me The old boys, now there were the real A team in my books, I just bought the first season on DVD and I'm buying the second this weekend.
roadhawg Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 It might be ok, but the way Hollywood does things nowadays I'm not getting my hopes up.
crispy Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I wonder if round 2 will have the A-Team GMC van as a tie in to the movie? I liked the trailer. Looks like a fun movie. Chris
sak Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Thst looks like its going to to be OFF THE CHAIN !!!!! Doesnt appear to be too cheesy, minus the part of the guy that shoots down the fighter jet in a tank turret of a tank thats floating to earth on a parachute, after the plane it was in exploded. But serious , this has the potential to be one of the better tv to mivie addaptations, even better than Miami vice.
Custom Hearse Posted January 13, 2010 Author Posted January 13, 2010 Thanks for posting that Marshall, I've been waiting for that one. Looks really good. You're welcome Steve. Some grungy old sock puppets in a cardboard box would be better than the Miami Vice movie. Now... THAT IS FUNNY!!!
rustybill1960 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Finally some real kick ass action!!! i never could get use to the "fluffy" stuff the tv stories did, i mean, all that lead and explosions and the bad guys got up and walked away ?!?!?! i liked george peppard in the role of hannibal smith but, liam nessom should put some hair on "them" watched the trailer looks real thanks for sharing
Nick Winter Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 who knows could be a good movie. i grew up watching the A-team and really enjoyed it as a kid. i havent seen an episode of the A-team T.V. show in 20 years easily! one thing about those old shows is that they didn't have any killing in them. as a kid we werent exposed to that sort of thing on televison programs we watched. alot of really good shows left that part out and i think it was a good thing. the bad guys got caught or got whipped, but killing just wasn't part of the program. shows like the Fall Guy, A-team, Dukes of Hazzard, and Knight Rider didn't cross that line. Dave Dave you forgot The Rockford Files, no one ever got killed
RodBurNeR Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Interesting....but I don't think they could ever duplicate the original series without Mr T....the dude is still alive, why not have him at least? Mr. T never said homie.

Jeff Sauber Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 (edited) Dave you forgot The Rockford Files, no one ever got killed Thats not exactly true.....One guy had their face blown off, Angel Martin saw the body through a door window.. Jim often found victims dead, such as a guy in bath tub and another hanging from the ceiling....Another guy was shot dead as he ran out of the airport onto the service tarmac, and jim shot a guy dead out of an airplane in a hanger, trying to protect Dennis Becker... Another guy was shot dead by Dennis at the race track when he tried to shoot at Jim first...Jim also killed a guy, as he sent his motorcycle off the cliff by sneaking up behind him and throwing the bike into gear as the rider was unaware. There was alot of death related stuff on that show....I could go on, but I think you get the idea. Edited January 13, 2010 by J. Sauber

Mr. T never said homie. Mr. T has had a bout with luekemia, and has had some other health related issues. He's lost alot of size and muscle, and just doesn't have the hard, tough, look anymore. He just wouldn,t make a very good brawler as he has not aged all that well.....I think he has been replaced by UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson..... Edited January 13, 2010 by J. Sauber
Chuck Most Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Some grungy old sock puppets in a cardboard box would be better than the Miami Vice movie. What's wrong with grungy old sock puppets, Steve? Once you get past the creepiness, they're pretty entertaining!

On the episode last night, they found the cheif's wife's body in the trunk of a car in the supermarket parking lot.....Dennis was assigned to the case as he was preparing to become a luetenant.....Chapman gave him the folder and said this case was his....Later in the show, one of the guys Jim was talking to, got shot through the balcony window by a young Ed Harris..... Need anymore convincing? Edited January 13, 2010 by J. Sauber

Need anymore convincing? Jeff I have all 6 Seasons on DVD and all the TV movies on DVD, who needs to watch it on TV, that was what I was getting at, it was there, but you didn't really see it.
Nick Winter Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 i didn't forget the Rockford files, honestly i've never seen a single episode. i did forget CHiP's though which too never had any killing in it. i mentioned only shows as well that were more oriented towards younger viewers. i used to watch Columbo too and really enjoyed it, but i think it was a more adult oriented program. there were other shows too i watched like Simon & Simon, Magnum P.I., Airwolf and Rip Tide that i liked but can't remember a whole lot about. the movies coming out that play off of older programs are in some cases good but all so far have crossed that line of violence, death or nudity. as an adult i'm not bothered with that stuff, but i have kids that want to watch the movies too and i don't feel they are appropriate. even the Dukes of Hazzard movie has nudity and reference/views of drug use that is not appropriate for kids or younger viewers. Dave Dave the Dukes Movies are terrible, any true blooded fan steers clear of them.
Jeff Sauber Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Jeff I have all 6 Seasons on DVD and all the TV movies on DVD, who needs to watch it on TV, that was what I was getting at, it was there, but you didn't really see it. Like I said, it wasn't real graphic and bloody, but there are scenes and episodes where you clearly see the guys getting shot and dropping to the ground and such. There are also scenes where dead victims are breifly shown laying around and whatnot....Sometimes there were small amounts of "stage blood" on the victims...It depended on the episodes... Trust me, I'm a detail freak, I notice these things.....lol.
Chuck Most Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 That's why I like Knight Rider. The Hoff never killed anyone. Well, except for the bad guy in "Knight Rider 2000" (Played by that Mitch guy who was Skinner on the X Files). But Knight Rider 2000 kinda sucked, so does it really count?
roadhawg Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Like I said, it wasn't real graphic and bloody, but there are scenes and episodes where you clearly see the guys getting shot and dropping to the ground and such. Trust me, I'm a detail freak, I notice these things.....lol. Yes, movies and TV shows back in the day DID have violence......but its not the same as it is now. Theres a lot of difference between a bad guy getting shot, grabbing his chest, and falling to the ground and a bad guy getting shot, bullets visibly ripping his flesh open and blood squirting everywhere. This is one reason todays youth are the way they are....they're de-sensitized to the violence. They think its normal. I'm a huge fan of Airwolf, which had a LOT of violence....but again, its not the same as things are now...I can easily watch it with the kids in the room. Todays shows are just....well, disturbing. I enjoy sitting and watching Dukes of Hazzard reruns with my two boys, ages 6 and 10. There's NO WAY I'd let them watch that awful Dukes movie. We also watch A-Team reruns....The ONLY thing this movie might have in its favor is Stephen J. Cannell, who made the TV show, has a hand in the writing. Yes, Dave....I remember Gunsmoke very well. It was my dads favorite show, but he wouldn't let us kids watch it.....said there was too much shootin' in it!
Ryan S. Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I'll admit, it looks better than I was expecting. At least they've got the van. I'm not sold on the characters though. I grew up watching the A-Team and it just seems like everyone is trying too hard to be the original guys...It might be too cliche. Who knows though, it's only a 1 and a half minute trailer; I might be surprised. ...too bad Mr.T is so busy playing World of Warcraft...
sak Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 And apparently he is not to bad too, he just got promoted to level 4 ogre. And he has well over 500 super dragon breath points!
Jordan White Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 if you watched the Dukes of Hazzard on T.V. and then thought you were going to see the same thing in the movie you were bound to be disappointed. the movie is pretty good and very entertaining. Willie Nelson plays a good Uncle Jessie and it's full of some pretty sweet stunts. personally i think the movie would have been just as good without the boob shots and the pot smoking and leaving that stuff out could have made it viewable by a younger audience. Well it was made by Broken Lizard, and they are well known for their non-younger-audience movies.
Harry P. Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 any member here old enough to remember Gunsmoke? Dave I watched it as a kid, in the early 70s. Great show. I also liked Bonanza. Whatever happened to TV westerns? There used to be tons of them, now not a single one. Gunsmoke Maverick Have Gun, Will Travel Bonanza Wild, Wild West Rawhide (Clint Eastwood got his start there) Alias Smith and Jones High Chapparal The Rifleman Hec Ramsey Big Valley Laramie And many more I can't remember off the top of my head. A whole genre of TV drama gone. Strange...
