Bernard Kron Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 This build more than holds its own to the scrutiny of the camera's eye. That motor is hyper-real. Superb detailing, paint textures, everything it takes to achieve maximum effect. Bravo!
seeker589 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Suspended disbelief! If you wouldn't have explained it was a model to someone outside the modeling community - It could truly pass as the original. Brilliant work - pat your back on this one!

Do you mind if I ask what you used for your roll bar padding?? Chris.......I used a very thin computer board tape, that I bought at a computer store.......I also use it for masking off paint jobs.....it cost around $1.50 a roll ......last a long time.

Thanks John....You can't beat the price on it either, compairing it what Fine line tape costs at an auto body paint supply store. I am assuming that there isn't much bleed thru when using this to mask off paint jobs? I have recently started to pick up tamiya tape but the bad thing is I think 6mm is the smallest they make it in. Thanks again, I can't wait to see some more of your builds on here. Big fan of your work
Crusader101 Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 John, your builds are over the top...I can only sit back and gasp...
Mooneyzs Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 (edited) Hey John, I need to ask you another question Were did you find the reference pictures for this dragster. I have been doing some research on the internet and really can't find any good pictures for the detail. I have been looking for some old drag racing books at some local book stores and Amazon. On Amazon I ran across one called Fuel and Guts and it has the Bebee and Mulligan dragster on the cover. Just not sure if it has some good pics there for reference or not. I am hoping that I can find it locally just so I can flip thru the book and check it out before I buy it. If you don't mind letting me know I'd appreciate it. I have one of these kits that I am planning on building sometime in the future after I clear some builds off my "kits I need to finish" list thanks again John for all of your help, it is much appreciated. Thanks buddy you are awesome! Can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I am in no hurry since I won't be getting to build for a little while. When is the Show in Phoenix that you will be going to. Will have to make it out to it myself. Would like to meet you and see your build in person. Another option I just thought of so you don't have to send them to me is if you have a scanner and can scan them. I can give you my email addy. But like I said I can wait for the show in Phoenix. really appreciate your willingness to help me out. Thank You Edited February 28, 2010 by Mooneyzs
