Al Rogers Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Built straight from the box except for the wheels and tires (Pegasus Chrome Ts with the centers painted graphite metallic and photo etched key and keyfob and a little BMF. The paint is PPG Deltron dark green metallic base and PPG Concept 2000 clearcoat. All built in 3 days thanks to the paint dries quickly and requires no polishing. Later Al

93Z34 Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Are you kidding me Al???? That car looks simply beautiful!   What a fantastic job on that car, and I'm not even a huge fan of the 64-66 'Stangs. That car looks simply awesome though. You sure did that thing justice!!! Keep up the fantastic work!!!
JayVee Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Beautiful job! It looks perfect with those rims.
Jairus Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Al, beautiful build! Got any pics with the hood up?
Al Rogers Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 Sorry no underhood pics it's glued shut. This model was sort of an experiment. This was the first time I used this kind of paint so it was a quick build, just a shelf model. It won't be the last one I use this paint on. Thanks to all who commented on it. Later Al
lambertjr Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Great looking 'Stang! Nice detail on the interior.
Zoom Zoom Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 That's one of the coolest builds of this kit I've ever seen 8)
Harvezter Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Thats beautiful! How did you get so much detail into the dashboard? Is that all done with a paintbrush and magnifying lens?? wow nice!
Al Rogers Posted January 12, 2007 Author Posted January 12, 2007 Harvezter, I do use a powerful magnifier. For guages I use flat arcrylic craft paint for the backgrounds and artist colored pencils for the numbers and needles. This is a little tricky but remember to keep the pencils as sharp as possible and use very light pressure on them. Use the best pencils you can find, I buy mine at a local art supply store. Most of the chrome is done with a artist paint marker with a .003 tip but if possible I do use BMF but not on this Mustang. I almost always put a key in the ignition switch. It just gives it that finished look. My best advise is to practice. Later Al
